What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Every image needs a basic structure. Without an underlying structure, it is just another boring photo.
Every image needs strong underlying composition order so that it grabs the eye from a hundred feet away.
If it can't grab the eye from a distance, it will never be an interesting photo, regardless of how many fine details it might have. Details don't matter if there's no story behind
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Why did you decide to have photographs taken?
What is the story you want to tell with your photographs?
Are there any shots, or sessions, that you’ve seen of ours that really stand out to you?
Are there any must-have photos?
Do you have a special location you’d like us to check out?
Are there any specific ways you’d like to display your photos? (albums, digital files, canvases, etc.)
Which areas of your home are you hoping to decorate with your images?
Is there anything else we should know?
Is there someone we can thank for referring you?
Tell me why you must have Rex Alfes Photograpy as a photographer?
What do you love most about your job?
Each person has a story about themselves, another person, place, or thing. Stories can be from pure realistic, to pure fantasy. I love bringing that story to life in images.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to give people an opportunity to share my passion with me. All too often I see really good photographers flounder due to a bad business model, as well as unskilled photographers claiming to be a great business. Too many horror stories for photography clients. I want to give clients the confidence in getting an excellent product at a reasonable cost that they would be excited and happy with for years to come.
Why should our clients choose you?
You should love what I do, like me on a personal level. Without both of these, we would not be successful. I encourage clients to select the photographer that matches both of these, and has a good reputation, weather or not it is me.
