I have worked out at a lot of gyms. I just moved to Flemington and was happy to find such a good gym after checking around area. Very well equipped and organized.

To address the person below who starts a review with "this place is a dump...," let me start by saying PROVE IT. Where are photographs, for example? I was in the fitness industry for 15 years as a personal trainer, provider of continuing ed for trainers throughout the northeast, manager of a staff of 20 trainers at one of NYC's largest (4 floors) and finest facilities (one of 5 clubs total in this family-owned Brooklyn/Long Island chain), and helped build out and was responsible for buying all workout equipment for its newest facility in downtown Manhattan. In addition, I created a position for myself as one of the first advisors on safety and space appropriations in fitness facilities, a service I provided throughout NYC. I'm here to tell anyone that I'm an authority on professionalism in gyms and there's not one ounce of evidence at this facility to prove what this person claims. The problem with public forums and reviews is that anyone with anger issues thinks they can tear down people or institutions with a handful of words. I welcome anyone to contact me personally via my FB account if they would like to hear a thorough opinion of this facility from someone who excelled in this area. I expect a high level of courtesy, professionalism, and cleanliness if I am to be a member of a gym. I live 15 minutes from this gym and could go to 1 of 3 gyms 5 minutes from me, but I chose this one because it meets the high standards I've come to expect from a workout facility. I also live in NYC and Chicago where the company that owns our buildings owns the Equinox chain of gyms. Both our homes in those cities have Equinox gyms of considerable size and superb quality in the buildings. While I can prove my claims that Retro Fitness in Flemington, NJ is one of the finer facilities I've entered (of the many I have entered throughout the world), I'm certain this snarky reviewer cannot prove his or her claims. If so, I say STEP UP AND SHOW US YOUR EVIDENCE.

I have been working out here since September of 2011 and haven't looked back since. The owners, Becca and Charlie have become great friends, almost like family to me. Kim and the other staff have been there since day one and all of the faces there are familiar. Once again, it's like a big family. It's clean and is always getting new, cutting edge equipment. Charlie is a man who only wants the best for his club. He takes the feedback on what people like or don't like. He also does all of the maintenance on the machines, rather than waiting forweeks for the manufacturer to come in and make the repairs.
