Q&As

I instinctively have always gravitated towards psychology and understanding human behavior. I believe that the therapeutic relationship offers a model of a healthy relationship for some clients for the first time in their lives; a relationship that is unconditional based on trust, honesty, and acceptance.

The opportunity to better manage the therapeutic experience is so much better than having a company dictate what you need to do with the client which is most often based on money and not the needs of the client. In my own business, I am able to tailor treatment according to the client. Furthermore, I can refer clients that would be better served by another mental health professional with a different expertise.

I make sure my clients are in a safe space. I will not only actively listen to my clients, but I will actually communicate with them in a nonjudgmental way while at the same time provide them with problem solving information related to their specific disorders or chief complaints. The information clients receive is based on many therapeutic modalities, psychological theories, and empirical evidence. As a result, clients move towards fulfilling their potential when they start to uncover the barriers that are stopping them from achieving the life that they desire.

I provide services online and in person at my office in Garden City, NY.

I have received all my vaccinations to keep my clients and me safe. I do whatever it takes to make clients comfortable in therapy. If they wish for both of us to wear masks during therapy or they just want to wear a mask, that is fine by me. I disinfect the room after each client and the building maintenance continues to disinfect doors, bathrooms, and elevators.
