We have taken my dog to Quartz Mountain since I moved here just over seven years ago.  I was initially devastated to learn that our longtime vet had left.  However, we were pleasantly surprised to meet their newest doc, Dr. J Richardson this fall. We had an aging pet whom she began to treat in his final months of life.  She was thorough, but never outside of our comfort zone of treatment and her compassion and empathy for both the dog's and our well being were  breathes of fresh air during our most troubled days.  The staff is easy to access, now with text technology, making urgent and last minute communication on medications and appointments a breeze.  There is nothing easy about caring for an elderly pet and dealing with end of life choices, but I certainly would trust them with my fur family again. It's hard to say, you loved an experience, when your sweet fur baby is ill. Dr. Bourne, very thorough and always listens to me trying to describe, why I'm there. .Charlene, always does a good job. We had a great experience here. The non anesthtic cleaning was much less costly than the full anesthesia. 4 very loose teeth were removed and our little guy came our of it nicely.Definately worth going!

I am so grateful that Dr. Weaver, the original founder of Quartz Animal Hospital came out of retirement. After several recommendations from friends and research on various Vet's I decided to take my dog to Dr. Weaver. I vocalized beforehand how much I was afraid of anesthesia and wanted to make certain my dog would not have any adverse reactions to it. I have a little yorkie so I was afraid with his size he might have  a adverse reaction to it. He is so nice and took exceptional care of my dog. Dr. Weaver had to pull out a few of my dogs teeth because he had an abscess and Dr. Weaver called me to inform me why this would have to be done and of course I approved it for the overall health of my dog. He also showed me the teeth that were pulled out and the teeth that were pulled out were in bad condition. My dog had minimal downtime and he is now back to normal. My dog now has clean teeth and his bad breath is gone. Dr. Weaver is the best and he truly cares about animals. As finicky as I am he exceeded my expectations and my dog will be his forever patient! Overall, I had the best treatment for my dog and the cost of the cleaning, blood work, and xrays were reasonable. I'm an extremely happy customer. Thank you Dr. Weaver and staff! More...

We have used this clinic for a year now. Â Teeth cleaning, shots and most recently a knee surgery. Â Everything went very well in every case. Â Price for shots was on par with others. Â Knee surgery was expensive ($2200) but about $1000 less than other clinics. Â Lexi is only 3.5lb so we were very worried but the procedure was a success and shes up and running like a puppy. Â Dental cleaning was about half the regular price and done without anesthesia - so safer for elderly and very small dogs. Â They wrap up the dog and do it as gentle as possible.
