The mission of Procyon Training is to help our clients build strong, positive relationships with their animals. We offer basic obedience training, trick training, nose work training, parkour training, as well as service animal training. We also offer an owner-trained, trainer-assisted program to help people train their own service dogs and miniature horses.

When my pup turned 1 his personality changed. I didn't want an over protective dog. Stephanie helped me to understand him and taught me how to work with him in a loving way. Stephanie & Procyon were my saviors this week. After being asked to housesit for a family with 8 dogs, I was terrified, to say the least!
However, Stephanie's peaceful demeanor and unyielding capabilities put me back in a relaxed state of mind. She is professional, yet warm and amiable. She is highly skilled, yet never demeaning.
Her love of animals is very apparent. When it came to the pack of pups, she handled each mishap with poise and grace.
From feelings and walks to bathing and giving affection, Stephanie is the most skilled animal caregiver I have ever encountered. If I had a pet of my own, Procyon would be the only choice.

From my first phone call with Procyon, I knew we had finally found the trainer for us and our leash-reactive dog Fletcher. In the city we previously lived in we worked with a trainer who had lost hope in our lovely Fletcher, but from the get go, Stephanie was confident that with training Fletcher would improve. And he has! So much! Even though we're not 100% done with his reactive training yet, already going on walks with Fletcher is no longer dreaded. And we'd never be here without Stephanie's help! I have been to trainers daycare's everything to try and help my two-year-old boxer and I after only two weeks with Stephanie and Jess I swear this is not my dog such an improvement now I can enjoy walking my boxer and not dreading what's going to happen with her being leash reactive Stephanie and Jess are by far the best trainers I have ever come in contact with from Palm Beach County to OcalaFlorida well worth every penny spent and will continue to use Stephanie for boarding and doggy daycare. My dog did not have the easiest start out in life. Especially for a bully breed. She was taken away from her mom too young and did not have the best experiences, or any for that matter, socializing with other dogs. We had been through the obedience schools and such and nothing was helping with her anxiety and listening skills when around other dogs. I am so beyond thankful to have found Stephanie and Procyon training. Stephanie has not only opened up communication between my dog and I, she has also shown me that my dog CAN be my partner. Stephanie understands dogs on a level most people can't even comprehend, and then is able to help the human understand their dog. She has not once ever made me feel like an inadequate dog owner, like most have done, and is always so positive in her training. Because of her my dog has made leaps and bounds in her training and each session she progresses more and more. I can not say enough good things about Procyon and the trainers! They trained my service dog, Jovi and words can not express how much their hard work and dedication has impacted my life with Jovi. Jessica flew up to Chicago with Jovi when I was having a rough time and needed her here. She stayed in Chicago and helped me learn with Jovi. Our bond we had never died. She is doing so well here at home. I would recommend Procyon to anyone who needs assistance with their dog. These girls work magic and have such a God given gift. What do you love most about your job?
I love helping dogs with people problems. Seriously, a lot of issues I encounter with the dog and their human is miscommunication. When I can help the human understand dog language and what the dog is communicating and, at the same time, help the dog understand human language, there's no limit to what the team can do together!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to offer people high end dog training at a price people could afford. This is why I am one of the most certified trainers in my area and at the same time have some of the lowest rates.
Why should our clients choose you?
My goal is to help you build a strong, positive relationship with your dog (or miniature horse), the rest will often follow.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We haven't done much as we have always been focused on keeping the dog-human team 6 feet away from another team. If I'm not feeling well, I'll often text my client to let them decide if they'd like to meet or not.
