Disappointed. We had a party of 5 and it took just under 3 hours for our meal. We all had 3 course meals but two of us never received our desserts. Staff was friendly but inattentive. Chefs Counter * Tasting Menu * Wine Pairing
Do those three and you're tastebuds will be thrilled. Seriously. Have dined here a few times and we are always pleased to the max.
The location is a little off the beaten path from say, West Hartford, but an easy drive and a scenic one at that. The building is an old mill with wood beams and red decor. There are about 10 tables, 5 high tops, and seat 8 at chefs counter so make reservation ahead of time, especially if you want the experience at chefs counter.
The presentation of the food is fantastic. I wont go into detail about the menu, it does change seasonally. They do have plenty of meat / seafood options. A good wine and bottle list as well. Also do wine pairing with chefs tasting.
Present Company is definitely a top three restaurant in Connecticut.

A hidden gem in Simsbury! The experience was top notch and the food was some of the best I've ever eaten. Cozy atmosphere where the service is impeccable and it really feels like you are "fine dining" but without a pretentious atmosphere. I will leave my main review on trip advisor. The meal I had tonight was in the top 5 of meals I have had in Connecticut. The service was exemplary, the food and presentation , the skillful use of herbs, were awesome. No the serving aren't large but to me eating out is about all the pleasure of dining. You eat with your eyes, your sense of smell and of course your tastebuds. Present Company nailed all of theses and I was able to enjoy a French like 4 course dinner and not feel like I have to go do a three hour stint on the treadmill tomorrow. Near perfection. More...
