We have three German Shepherd Dogs (GSD) and have contracted with Precision Canine, LLC to train two of them. Lauren and Hunter work with our whole "pack". The pack includes two human members, three dogs, and two cats. Eleven year old GSD is our sweetest, no training at this point in her beautiful life. We've had her since the age of 6 weeks. Nearly nine year old GSD (had her since the fall) was a great challenge. She has an incredibly strong prey drive. Not good for the cats, nor the puppy. At this point, she's our best behaved dog...purely because of the excellent intensive training and loving care she's received from Precision Canine, LLC. She'll probably never give up on the cats, but she is a dog. She spent weeks with Lauren and Hunter, assimilating to their pack. They spent much time and effort and succeeded at teaching me how to interpret behaviors (and therefore, canine thoughts) and to handle a well trained dog. I've been taught, also, to not apply my human emotions on my pets. Five month old GSD (since the age of 12 weeks) is our cutest. We've got a way to go with the youngest, but I'm so pleased to know that Lauren and Hunter will guide us every step of the way. I just had my first training session with Hunter and my dog Mitzy. I couldn't be more excited about the future. I adopted Mitzy from GBHS 4 months ago. She was a 3 mth old, 12 lb pit bull mix. Sweet and loving but biting at everything. Now she is 7 mths old, approx 45 lbs and pulling me all over the place. She is also very mouthy and wants to jump on everyone. I have grandkids in my home on a daily basis and they have never been able to play with her because of her bad habits. It didn't take long for me to realize she needed a different type of training other than what places like Pet Smart had to offer. I had gone so far as to sign her up for those classes when deep down I knew I couldn't control her from the parking lot to the store or around customers in the store. I had to accept the fact that treats, diversion tactics and all my love was not going to work for Mitzy. I had also taken her for evaluation and subsequently ruled out places I felt were too harsh (I'm a bleeding heart). I know she is going to receive the best training, care and love anyone could ask for at Precision Canine and that I'm going to receive the training I need to handle her properly. It did not bother me to leave her there like I thought it would. I can see that although she is receiving strict discipline she is also having fun and being loved. Sure, I miss her not being here with me right now but I know beyond a doubt Mitzy and I are going to have a great life together thanks to Hunter and Lauren. More...

Lauren & Hunter are our saving grace!!!! They took our Henry and made an aggressive unpredictable dog into a sweet teachable pet. I guess the greatest feat was or should I say is training us. Mabel came into our lives about 4 years ago. She was a rescue from a family that couldn't stay together and the momma couldn't handle her 3 boys and this wild child. We have loved her and loved her and loved her!!! But she had a very dominate side that I just really didn't know how to handle. She might have been nick name Cra-Cra. She barked at everything and everyone (that is actually much better than it has been, still have work to do...). She might jump on ya when you come in.. much better with that, but still a work in progress. This is the biggy tho!!!!
When I walked her... heck who am I kidding... when she walked me... it hurt my back! Her leash was always pulled taught and she was the one in control!
But tonight!!! Tonight, we had a major breakthru!! MAJOR BREAKTHRU!
So back in early March, I had to put one of my Goldens down. That boy was some kinda special to our hearts!! We still miss him terribly! Fast forward... my son talked me into another pup almost immediately. We found ourselves with a Belgian Malinios. This boy stole our hearts! He is precious and as sweet as can be. But bc he is alot of dog in a little pups body... we hired Precision Canine, LLC to help us. We officially started with them the end of March.... doing some home visits. During these visits, Lauren would take some time to work with Mabel (my youngest Golden) and give me some seriously great advice for her.
Well y'all tonight, that sweet girl.. walked with slack in her leash and her shoulder even with my hip! ..and that's just from a little direction and showing me a few things to do! She is not even the one they are working with everyday... this happened just from a few home visits and a little this and little that!!!!
You should see what they are doing with my Riko! He loves Lauren and Hunter!!!! He has been with them since Memorial Day... we have missed him, but we have had a few lessons ourselves.... they've stopped the puppy biting, the jumping, the random barking is soooooo much better and he has pretty dog gone good obedience for a 5 month old pup! He has a lot still to learn and if I could just learn it, he'd probably do much better!! LOL He gets to come home soon.. we can't wait ... and we will continue with our weekly lessons and some protection training in the future. The experience has sooo been worth every second he has been gone!!!! Can NOT believe how much I have learned about a dogs behavior!!! Lauren has also been super diligent at sending us pics and cute fun videos of him during this time.

Lauren & Hunter are amazing professionals who care deeply about their people & canine clients. My giant schnauzer puppy's behavior is important to his & our qualities of life. The Hogan’s are more than dog trainers, they train you too (trust me it’s probably not the dog it’s you). I adopted two dogs with what seemed like small issues but quickly showed dog aggression and not ideal living situations with a toddler. After using the advanced foundation program and weeks of lessons, I finally have two wonderfully mannered and dog aggression free pups. They’re programs are not “quick, easy” treat-training, but THEY WORK. You can not imagine how much better you and your pups lives will be after all the hard work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We took our two dogs, a German Shorthair Pointer and a yellow Lab to Lauren and Hinter and we could not be happier with our choice. We have only had a few sessions and they are already showing such improvement! They have also trained us along the way which has made a huge difference. Working with Lauren and Hunter has been absolutely wonderful! I adopted a dog last year who developed some behaviors I was not comfortable with and did not feel qualified to handle on my own. They have been with me every step of the process, in person, on the phone, and via text whenever I have questions about anything. I contacted Lauren when I brought my Giant Schnauzer puppy home. I actually spoke with her prior to getting him. She even offered to go with me to pick him out. Anyway, she came to my house to meet me, my dog and explain her process. I immediately felt comfortable with her and her system. Through the obedience training I met Hunter, her husband and we (my dog & I) became part of their family. They are both easily accessible and accommodating. It has been life changing with my 50lb pup (expected to be 120lb). His and my quality of life is/will be most enjoyable due to Precision Canine's experience and knowledge.
