Pocket Full of Mumbles is a Simon-and-Garfunkel-inspired trio from Southern Maine. We also favor covers of Jackson Browne and Son Volt (Jay Farrar of Uncle Tupelo).
Instrumentation includes guitars, fiddle, pedal steel, and occasionally banjo.

What do you love most about your job?
We love it when the audience sings along (which does occasionally happen)
What inspired you to start your own business?
Hal & Mike have played in a couple of different bands in the past. Several years ago we discovered that our voices fit together nicely and that we had a common love of the Simon and Garfunkel catalog. Given that as a base, we put together a few tunes and started Pocket Full of Mumbles. Our next foray was into the music of Jay Farrar and Son Volt. Tim Howie fit the bill perfectly as steel guitar player to support that effort.
Why should our clients choose you?
If you want to be able to hear yourself talk over the music at your event, then Pocket Full of Mumbles may be for you.

Wedding Function Band
We can add a drummer and pick up the pace a bit for weddings. We are not your typical top-40 band or rock band for that matter. We might be known as ALT-country, but that isn't quite accurate either. We're at the intersection of Simon & Garfunkel and Son Volt (Jay Farrar from Uncle Tupelo)
