I'm writing this review with a knot in my throat lol I am so happy with Playful paws. I have a 2 1/2 yr old pittie she's the sweetest girl but I have recently had a baby a few months ago and unfortunately I have not been able to give her the daily exercise & socializing that she deserves, to top it off we live in an apartment. With a new baby and corona virus we hardly leave the house, and unfortunately it has affected her. I decided to look into a doggy daycare in hopes she can have some socializing with other dogs and get out of the house. The day we took her for her orientation LaNae did the assessment & quite frankly she could have failed her, Stormy was barking at her and growling and extremely fearful. I felt sooooooo sad, knowing all those months in the house has truly affected her. But LaNae gave her a chance and got to know her, I explained to her my situation and my dogs situation and she offered her training services to get her acclimated to the facility and the staff before placing her in the day care with other dogs. That same day I agreed & the next day she spent the day with her & got to meet all the staff and start the process to be less fearful of people and enjoying being a dog. I highly recommend this facility, not only are they experienced but they are understanding & really understand dog behavior. Truly grateful and excited to have found this place for my girl to have some fun. More...

Our fur babies, Datu and Tala, love going to Playful Paws for daycare and boarding. They are so excited when we pull up at the front door. Our doggies are so tired after playing all day at Playful Paws. The staff have taken great care of our doggies when we have left them there for boarding when we've gone on vacation. LaNae (manager an owner) and staff love the dogs as if they were their own furbabies. More...

Lee Roy is a high energy terrier mix and a little skittish around men and strangers. He loves all the people and dogs at Playful Paws for daycare or to spend the night. He gets so excited when I pack his bag because he's going to Playful Paws.  I like the cameras that allow you to watch your pet. Lee Roy just plays and plays and plays and runs and runs and runs.  Also, the staff is helpful and accommodative when Lee Roy needs to stay overnight  on short notice.  Playful Paws is the BEST!! I have been bringing my Pittie mix, Ace, to Playful-Paws for the last 4 months. He absolutely loves it! He attends daycare regularly as well as regular boarding. I can't say enough positive things about them! He plays hard all day snd comes home exhausted. They are not caged and have free play all day. I think of doggie daycare like taking your kid to preschool. Expect them to get dirty, "skin their knees", and get bumps and scratches. In other words... dogs play like dogs. Dirt and scratches are expected! There are live cameras to watch your dog during their stay. You can see that they are safe and I know he's well loved. There is no breed discrimination. They have access to outdoors as well as indoors, water is readily available, feeding up to 3 times a day, and they come home tired! Owner and staff are amazing! I am so thankful to have found a safe, loving place for my Ace. More...

The staff is really awesome and friendly. They even updated my pup's vaccine record. The biggest issue I had was when I picked up my dog he had a decent sized scratch on his nose. It looked relatively fresh. I would've liked to have known in advance if something happens just in case. The second biggest issue I had was when I picked up my dog, his butt was caked with fecal matter. Like it was to the point I had to use a brush and other resources to clear it. He looked like he had a lot of discomfort. Starting yesterday and going into today, he's had a bad case of dog diarrhea. I'm not going to point fingers or place blame but I think having his anal gland caked like that might've been one of the causes. Or he could've just licked his paws too much. Im thankful for the service they provided, it was an extended stay - Black Friday at night until Wednesday afternoon. They did the best they could to accommodate and make him comfortable, just the hygiene stuff is what really got me. I have to leave my pup inside now and have to constantly watch him so I can make sure I grab him and take him outside for his toileting issues. This is not an indictment on the staff. Like I said they were super helpful and friendly. More...

I have to say I was a worried mom as it was Janie's first time being away from us. La Nae was awesome. She knew it was her first time. Janie was very stand offish but, she worked with her till she was relaxed. She called me and kept me up on how she was doing. Over I would say it went better than I thought. Thank you so much for taking care of my baby. More...

I never made reviews on yelp and I hope this review will help people who are planning to take their dog to this place to please think twice. It was a mistake bringing my dog in this place for boarding. My dog was full of cuts and scratches when I picked up (see pictures). My dog got humped by 3 different dogs for several times everyday. This all happened due to negligence. I have been checking the cameras and no one was there all the time to watch the dogs unless they need to clean up the floor or feed the dogs. I regret that I brought my dog to this place, it was a torture. I regret that I ignored all the negative reviews I read. If you really love your dog, this place is definitely not for your dog. We have been going here for about 3 years now and let me tell you the new owners have run it down! We just picked our dogs up from only being there for 3 days and their paws and under belly were soaked in urine and their elbows were starting to break down. We have two Great Danes and they separated them leaving my girl Dane anxious and couldn't lay down so her feet are swollen and her paw beds are starting to break down. They handed me back an entire bag of food which means they would not eat while there which for my dogs is unheard of. The guy in the front seemed completely high on some thing while we were checking out and just let the phone ring and go to voicemail which the lady leaving the message was completely distraught about not getting return phone calls. I used to recommend this place to everyone and now I will NEVER be going back. Thank god my trip was only a couple days otherwise I couldn't imagine how much worse my dogs would've looked coming back home after that. I am so upset about it all. Horrible horrible owners now.
