David was prompt, patient and met every request we had which isn't an easy feat with a group of this many. This was the best idea to have our family portraits done at home especially if you have kids and pets ! Pixyst was the first to respond, actually answered all the questions I had the first request and able to confirm my date and time immediately. I was actually shocked at the professionalism and the eagerness for my business. Especially compared to the other companies which fell far behind in comparison; they actually made me feel like I had to talk them into taking my business and they'd be doing me a favor!David arrived on time he was super professional clean cut and we all felt extremely comfortable with him in our home. He interacted with our 3 generations of family (10 people and 4 animals) members from several different countries who some non English speaking family (and dogs and cats) with ease. He quickly put me at ease and was very calming ( I was totally stressed out about coordinating everything, everyone, and with fighting with attire choices with 3 teenagers a few minutes before he showed up)! David had no problems with set up of indoor and then moving outdoor for sunset pictures and captured the moment beautifully! I was originally worried about the timing and set up for all the different pairings and not missing the sunset but David got all the pictures I wanted and more. We were thinking that we'd select 10 pictures but we purchased far more because they all came out so fantastic!By far the best photography experience our family has had and we do a family photo every year at the "chain portrait studios" in the strip mall and pay 3 times as much for the chain place then what David charges. We needed a video person to capture my Dad's funeral service for those unable to attend in person. We wanted to broadcast the video on Facebook Live, but found not a lot of video folks were able to handle that for us. I found David at Pixyst through Yelp, and his ratings were good but I was a bit nervous about having only 1 service to consider for this very impotant life event. David charged a very reasonable price, met with me at the venue ahead of time to prepare, was extremely professional and courteous. He did a fantastic job, caught all the important parts of the service, the attendees, the pictures, family interactions, and broadcast it on Facebook Live for us during the service. Starting with the fact that he now has a mobile studio which he set up at my house, super convenient. Pixyst is a great photography studio. It is very easy to find and very spacious. I find that a lot of studios, especially home studios, get very uncomfortable when working. I'm glad that the photographer has such a dedicated space, with well-regulated temperature and excellent lighting. The photographer, David Apeji, is courteous, professional and talented to boot!
