We were just visiting for the night so I found Piper's on Yelp. I didn't check the menu, just called & ordered. Ordered a large for 2 people thinking we'd enjoy a little extra the next day. Ok hands down some of the best pizza I've had in Pinellas County.  And I love that Piper told me her parents even met in a pizza shop 35 years ago. And that that they have been making them together as a family ever since. This super fresh and delicious family owned pizza shop lets the quality of their ingredients and attention to detail speak for themselves.You can taste the difference starting with their scratch made dough and sauce.  Both times I've have had it so far the balance of dough to sauce to ingredients ratio (which is so key to a good bite) have been perfect. The crust is very crispy and the drizzle of hot honey on their Signature Piper-Roni is inspired. Best pizza we have had since we moved here.  Nice crust, great toppings in good amounts (we had the meat lover's plus onions and green peppers), right amount of cheese and sauce, nice spiciness (in contrast to so many which are just plain bland).  We'll definitely be back.

Very good sauce, good quality cheese, and a good crisp New York style crust.  They don't offer wings, or sandwiches which is a shame because I like to order pizza and wings together.  When I think "scratch kitchen" I think of good quality sauces, like teriyaki, hot sauce, or blue cheese made in house.  Maybe they will add on to the menu when they get a little more established. We got pizza from them tonight,and it is the best pizza we have had in years. Sad that we don’t live here as it was delicious I guess just have to wait for our next visit, they where very busy and where so nice and friendly couldn’t have asked for better service !

Pizza is great!  My only gripe is they're soooo slow for the volume of business.  I showed up on time (45 minutes from order) on Friday night and was told they're running behind and would be a10 minute wait.  No problem.  40 minutes later my pie was finally ready.  There were only 15 pizzas picked up during my 35 minute wait.  So be patient because it's a tasty pie... But they need to tweak their processes or get a bigger oven I guess. More...

If you are anywhere on the gulf coast of Florida, do not pass up the opportunity to experience this place. The pizza is off the charts, topped only by the customer service. I found myself in Pipers ordering pizza en-route to a wedding reception (yes, I am that guy) I am also the guy that after being dropped off at Piper's, realized I kept the car key fab in my pocket while my unsuspecting wife drove off to accomplish an errand while our pizza was being made. After getting the call, and overhearing my dilemma, Bruce, smiled, took off his apron, came around the counter and drove me (and my pizza) to meet my stranded wife and our keyless car. While we were only in town for a day and half, I made three return trips to see Bruce, his Pizza and his crew. In an era where great customer service and hospitality are rare commodities, Bruce and family are shining examples of what we can do when we are passionate about our craft and genuinely care about people. Tonight my fiance and I decided to finally try Piper's Pizza (originally named Giovanni's) and I am extremely glad we did. A family owned business, who are truly wonderful people, that care about their customers and quality of their food. The pizza was absolutely wonderful; the sauce, the dough, the cheese... All of it. I visited Piper's Pizza (formerly Giovanni's) with my 4 year old daughter on our way driving Gradmom back home and the pizza  was fabulous.
