Impressive operation. They got me in for our first visit with our sick Golden on a Saturday morning when they had a lot going on. The two doctors were doing double duty. The staff know their jobs and quickly move through the paces to get people in and out efficiently. I was impressed with the quality of Veterinary care Buddy received and he responded well to the recommended treatments. Dr. Means got in the floor to interact with Buddy and that told me, and Buddy, she was a caring and compassionate Vet. I don't review often (in fact this is my first one) but I felt that I had to leave a review for Pinehurst Animal Hospital. They truly are amazing in there. We have two incredibly traumatized rescue dogs; one who came from a Korean dog meat farm and another who came from a bad hoarding situation, and they are sensitive to say the least. Our dogs are everything to us so it is always nerve-racking taking them to the vet.The first time we went to Pinehurst Animal Hospital, they went above and beyond to help me get my two babies into the room and looked at comfortably. Dr. Means and the nurse who was helping, were so sweet with them and they both sat on the ground with our dogs while they got their shots, etc. Our dogs require a lot of patience and they truly went above and beyond to help them. We have been seeing Dr. Means and her team for a few months now, and she is always incredibly patient, kind and thorough with our dogs.The front staff is also amazing and immensely understanding when we have to reschedule or even if I call about an issue or question we have regarding our dogs. They always call us right back with answers and always make us feel like they really care.We highly recommend this business & hope they will be around for a long, long time! More...

Dr. Ioppolo and his staff are amazing. The team at Pinehurst animal are the most professional and caring people when it comes to your pets. There are vets that are closer to where I live, but I wouldn't dream of taking them anywhere other than Pinehurst Animal. Dr. Iopollo called me and was so kind. He apologized for what happened while my puppy was boarded. I want to change my rating, not based on the boarding experience because that was not good, But based on my experience with Dr. Iopollo. Every visit I have had with him for my puppy has been excellent. He really showed her kindness and is thorough. He has explained all of the shots and vaccinations very well. Clean comfortable environment (inside and out) to start, Vet (Dr. Tony) friendly, knowledgeable got down on his knees to be face to face with my guy, didn; t push to have procedures (teeth)done immediately, explained everything in concise manner and acted in such a calm manner my new rescue didn't seem fazed at all either on his way for testing or when he came back. Laughed our way through possible breeds. On another note, he had put my beloved Westie down a year before moving to Pinehurst Animal Hospital. The manner in which he handled that led me to vow that if I ever got another dog, I would go to him. We started taking our pets there due to a friend’s recommendation and have been thrilled with the staff and the care of our babies. Usually can fit the appointment in our schedule which helps so much. Love that they have Saturday hours. Our little yorkie needed knee surgery and Dr. Tony recommended the travel ortho group Tarheel vets and they would come to his practice to do it since they have a surgical room. We spoke several times with the orthopedic vet and reassured us this was the right thing to do while he was still young. That made us definitely feel comfortable in our decision along with dr. Tony’s recommendation. Dr. Taylor from Tarheel called both my husband and myself right after his surgery and I can’t tell you how anxious we were to care for him afterwards. Both her and Dr. tony assured us we could do this and he would be fine. He is now 2 weeks post op and doing much better than we ever anticipated. Dr Tony has taken care of my 2 babies for a number of years. He helped extend Geri’s life for about 2 years from her fight against cancer. He has saved Bentley’s life by excising the cancer and administering chemo. That was at least 2years ago. He is now taking care of both Bentley and my new addition Bailey. We just started going to this vet. So far so good. Staff has been very welcoming and friendly. The veterinarians seem to be up to date on their knowledge and competent. I like that it isn't a big franchise vet hospital that has to follow set protocols by headquarters and can't deviate. They can customize your plan and how they go about treatment based on what is best for your dog, not set guidelines by someone who has never seen your dog. More...
