Pinecrest Builders

When we decided to remodel the kitchen we got several different quotes and opinions (many on this site). We decided to go with Pinecrest particularly because of their cohesiveness. Luckily our instincts paid off. They worked as a team. Never did we hear “oh that's not my job". Whenever we needed to work through the process any member of the team was available to help or have the proper person contact us immediately. Anne was particularly wonderful (to be fair; I gave her a lot of crap...and she held her own). Andy and Corey were responsive with any concerns. The reason I'm writing this today is not because issues didn’t arise during the job (things happen on ALL jobs), but how they rose to the occasion. I worked with Cory Gallagher to rebuild and repair some rooms that were damaged by fire in my rental property. I found him to be not only reliable, but extremely professional. He helped me to select products that would work in the house and explained each part of the process fully and accurately. His crew was respectful and very diligent in cleaning up after themselves. I first worked with Pinecrest Designer Anne Sweeney and cannot recommend her enough. Her attention to detail is 2nd to none. Even though I pretty much knew what I wanted going in, the professional experience she brought to our project was invaluable. Also, having experienced what it can be like to work with some not-so-ethical contractors, working with Pinecrest owner Andy Gallagher was a breath of fresh air. I would not hesitate recommending Pinecrest Builders when someone is in need of a home renovation/improvement. Whether it is an insurance loss or not. They are a 1st class operation!! Both design and construction went well.

In January 2015 my parents suffered an insurance loss due to several broken water pipes in an attic crawl spaces. There was extensive water damage in several rooms on the first floor. After contacting, interviewing and checking references of several contractors that were experienced with a homeowner's insurance loss, we decided to hire Andy and Pinecrest Builders. And we are so glad we did. Andy, Cory, Anne and their team of contractors restored and updated my parent's house beautifully.

Dealing with the insurance aspect, from initial estimate to a final estimate that both the insurance company and Pinecrest could agree to took some time. But Andy and the insurance adjuster worked well together to iron out any differences in opinion. Open communication between Andy and I was very important. Experience certainly matters in these situations.

Demolition of plaster ceilings and walls started in late June and the house was turned back over to us in the beginning of September. Cory, the project manager, and his team of carpenters, electricians, plasterers, insulators, wood floor finishers and painters are very skilled. They were responsive to any of our concerns and changes we had during the entire renovation process.

We are very pleased with the finished project!! Thanks again Andy, Cory, Anne et all.
