She does not boss you around (put your arm here and move this way or that) it feels very natural when she is taking your picture. Everybody in my family absolutely loved her as well. She even helped me understand my day of coordinator when I was confused on some things. She knows what she is doing and will help you answer any questions you may have. I used Photography by McDonough for my engagement photos and wedding photos. Anneliese took the engagement photos at the Reading Museum. Anneliese has shot there many times, so our engagement shoot was so easy and quick! She knew where to go and what poses to do so that we were not wasting any time. I also bought the digital rights to my engagement photos. Jenny was the photographer for my wedding day. I am soooo excited to see all of the wedding photos because the preview photos were AMAZING! She has a great eye and I love her artistic flair. My husband and I decided not to do a first look, so Jenny made sure to get some shots of just me and the bridesmaids and just my husband and the groomsmen before the ceremony. She has shot many weddings at Meredith Manor, so again, the photo sessions after the ceremony were quick and painless. Jenny was great at accommodating my large family, too! I used the videography service and photo booth service from Photography by McDonough, as well. I have not gotten the video back yet, but I am exited to see it! The photo booth was also unique in that there was an actual photographer taking the photo booth pictures. The photographer then printed out 4x6 photos right there for my guests! There are not enough good things I can say about Anneleise. Firstly, I met her at two separate bridal shows and liked her both times despite not remembering the companies name so it definitely was fate! Second, she travelled all the way to Philadelphia to capture our special day. Although it down poured the day of the wedding she worked quickly before the rain so that we could have our family and couple pictures outside. When I was overwhelmed she took control of the situation and took me and my fiancé away for private time and pictures. Not only are the pictures beautiful but she worked with me and my husband to get all the shots we wanted. Finally, her packages are fantastic, affordable and well worth the price!!! More...

I cannot say enough about Anneliese! She was absolutely amazing! From the start, our engagement photo shoot went off without a hitch and everyone loved the pictures. I am confident the wedding pictures will turn out even better. Anneliese went above and beyond any expectations one could have in a wedding photographer. She not only helped me get ready at my parents, but amongst all the craziness kept a cool head and helped keep me calm. She acted as another bridesmaid, going around the house to make sure everyone had their things when they were running late, showing me the radar as the storm looked to pass through right at the skin of our teeth before the wedding ceremony (outdoors), bustling up my dress the countless times it came undone and there was no bridesmaid in sight. McDonough was so easy to work with and the photos turned out perfect! Anneliese did out engagement photos and got the most beautiful shots while trying to get us out of the cold December air last year. Jen took the photos at our wedding and was so good about getting the shots and, again, getting is out of the cold. Not only were the posed shots great but the action shots were fantastic as well.

We also had a videographer. Initially I was unsure about having one, however, after my Maid of Honor's mother passed two days later unexpectedly, I'm so happy now that we have that footage. It puts things more into perspective about how nice it will be 20 years from now to have video of family and friends that may no longer be with us. More...

I would highly recommend this photographer. We had Anneliese for our engagement and wedding day photos.
She went above and beyond for us from helping us incorporate my dad who passed in our wedding to having our dogs on our cuff links as a way to have them there a well. The work was beautiful. My husband is not easy when it comes to pictures but she made him enjoy all the time we took for pictures. So many pictures we have having a hard time pick what we want.
We never felt pushed or rushed. Kept track of everything for us and made sure that when it snowed on our engagement shoot that we would still get great pictures for our guest book (we were married in spring), and it was the truth it was amazing!
Honestly the best pricing, very professional, always easy to reach and very flexible as my husband and i do not have alot of time off together.

McDonough does excellent work! My husband I worked with Anneliese for both our engagement session and our wedding day. She was willing to meet us where we chose for our engagement session and made herself familiar with our wedding location so she knew exactly where she wanted to pose us that day. I was recommended to McDonough through a colleague who used them for her daughter's wedding. Their photo packages were extensive, and the prices were reasonable. Quality of the pictures are beautiful, and Anneliese was great with listening to my picture ideas and making sure those pictures were taken (and not taken) on my wedding day. She didn't forget any family members or close friends mentioned. An even amount of formal and candid pictures were taken. My husband and I were able to enjoy our reception without being pulled for numerous formal pictures. She was able to snap the picture while things were happening, which ruled out the redundant poses. McDonough also offers many different ideas and materials to use during your wedding day and also after (photo gift card box, digital albums, thank-you cards, etc.)

I really enjoyed using this family company for the photography. The owner's daughter was the photography on my wedding day, which was nice because she was able to get some intimate photos while my bridesmaids and I were dressing. The photograph had met me at my ceremony and reception site about 1 month before the big day to discuss potential places to shoot pictures and back up plans in case it was raining (since our site was outside). On the day of the wedding, the photographer was there to capture all the right moments and blended into the crowds during the reception which was nice. Of course, she was there to capture the pictures at all those crucial moments, but it was nice that she wasn't always in your face looking for the next picture during the reception. We took many of our bridal party and bride/groom shots during the cocktail hour. She was extremely organized and we were able to capture everything that we had wanted in that hour's time.
