I have used Defining Imagery on two occasions and the service and quality are both first-rate!  Both were head shot photo sessions for my daughter and were completed by Jo Anne.  Jo Anne was timely and gave clear instructions for preparations and location.  I received all work as promised and Jo Anne even included a few extra shots as so many came out beautifully.  The first session was two years ago and I truly believe my daughter received more audition calls as a result of how great her headshots came out. We just completed new head shots and these are just as wonderful.  During the photo shoots Jo Anne was easy-going and made my daughter very comfortable.  She showed her how to pose to get the most out of the session, and explained many aspects about lighting, positioning, hairstyle and clothing that was a wealth of information that we've already used to help with self-tape auditions.  My daughter had a blast!I'll also note that Jo Anne is very flexible.  We had to cancel with short notice due to an accident and it was not a problem to reschedule the session.  Also, we changed one of our headshot choices overnight and there were no questions asked.  Thank you Jo Anne! I was nervous to have head shots done. Didn't sleep well the night before, it was a dark, dismal February day. Then I walked into Jo Anne's studio and it was like warm sun shine. She made me feel at ease and broke down the wall of insecurity easily. The photos came out really nice and she took a lot of work out a daunting process by narrowing down Best photos for final edits.
