First, they were the only garage door service that answered their phone on my first attempt to reach them. Big plus in my book. The receptionist/ front office clerk was extremely friendly and explained that an initial service call fee would be applied to the total repair cost if the repair cost exceeded the service call fee. No hidden fees and straightforward business practices--a cumulative second big plus in my opinion. They were able to accommodate my request for ASAP sevice and an appointment was scheduled for the next day. The repair technician was on time and able to repair the broken garage door sensor wire inside of 30 minutes for only $85.00. Extremely reasonable price in my opinion considering I paid for the actual work and the convenience of getting the work done quickly and on short notice. PGD will now be my go to garage door service. After having a terrible experience with another company, I contacted PGD via Yelp. The representatives worked with me well into the late evening to schedule a next day appointment. Technician, Manuel, arrived early in my appointment window. He was extremely friendly and professional. He quickly repaired the spring on my garage door and lubed all of the hinges and rails. Mike and his team replaced three motors in our garage and serviced all the moving parts on each door. I couldn't be happier with the service I received - Everyone I interacted with was professional, knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to make sure the job was done perfectly and promptly. I appreciated the easy quote process by sending photos of our existing openers and hardware, and Mike even stopped by the same day to make sure the job was properly quoted. During the install, when the technician needed some extra parts, Mike personally stopped by to deliver them and make sure we were happy with the work. Phillips did a great job replacing the springs on my garage door. Â The technician arrived during the scheduled window and quickly fixed the door. The door is working perfectly now, so quiet! Early in the morning, our garage door lift spring broke with a tremendous bang. The door was too heavy to lift. Our car was stuck inside. I called Phillips (before hours) expecting an appointment later in the week. In actuality, Phillips' staff set an appointment the same morning, sent a text 20 minutes prior to arrival, and fixed the whole system in about 20 minutes.Because I was stuck on a work call, they even agreed to let me call-in and pay the (very reasonable) service fee later on that afternoon.Thank you Phillips Garage Door! My garage is fixed! I called for a quote and the woman on the phone helped me distinguish what was wrong with my garage door over the phone and ensured me it was the spring and had someone out to fix the problem within the hour. Phillips for the win! Again! Spring snapped and I knew who to call. Even though I had to wait nearly a week for service, I wasn't too inconvenienced because I wasn't in a huge hurry. Sure enough, Manuel sent me a text at the appointed time that he was on his way and he showed up right on time and quickly got to work. I am always in awe of pros who can just look at something and fix it making it look so easy and effortless. It was great visiting with Manuel while he made the necessary repairs.
