When I was in need of a new Pet sitter my trusted Vet referred me to Pawtails Pet sitting. Naturally, it's always a little uneasy opening your home to someone new and trusting them with your beloved pets. Especially when one of your pets has special needs. Kate made me feel instantly comfortable with her professionalism and love of animals. I got to know her over the phone and we did a home visit before I left for my travel. I felt so at ease being away knowing that she was caring for my pets. She even sends daily updates, pictures and videos which was so comforting. We have had an absolutely great experiences with Pawtails Pet Sitting. Both Kate and Kelley are outstanding. Our cat has been sick with cancer for the past year and 2 weekends ago we were out of town and he took a turn for the worse suddenly. Kate took him to our vet and had detailed discussions with the doctor about the prognosis. Unfortunately his kidneys were in the final stages of shutting down and he was near death. Kate stayed overnight at our house to be with him. She actually spent the night in our laundry room sleeping on the floor since he was too weak to move. Unbelievable!!! We got home the next morning and took over. He passed away that day. The dedication that Kate showed was beyond belief. This business is a calling for her not a job. You can trust Kate with anything. Kate took care of our 2 dogs and 3 chickens while we were on our overseas vacation for 2 weeks this summer. We can’t say enough great things about our experience with her. Prior to our vacation she came to the house twice to meet with us and the animals, and we communicated by phone to finalize details. She stayed in our home and the animals received much love and attention. While overseas, we received daily updates and pics of the animals and the garden. She did not hesitate to ask any questions when unsure about anything. The animals all looked great when we returned home. Overall she was very responsible, conscientious and caring. Kate is amazing. While our family was on vacation she took great care of our pup! Besides walking her every day Kate made sure there was music for her when alone in the house and sending daily photos so that the family could see how she was doing. She coordinated with the neighbors watching the house and even helped replace a barricade to keep the dog in the yard while some contractors we're doing work. Kate not only was great but SHE also set up the best plan for my dogs and puppy!!! She was not only interested in meeting the dogs but brought something so the dogs would know her scent. The updates and follow ups were more then we could have hoped for. Not only did we like her but so did the dogs!! I've been using Kate at Pawtails for dog midday walks for 9 months. Kate's reliable and my dogs love her. Work travel schedules are unpredictable and demanding. After a year caring for our puppy, Jerry, all ourselves, we realized that for his sake as much as our own, we needed some help--enter Kate.
