It’s important to note that I am truly the most critical person when it comes healthcare. This is one reason why i began searching for a new provider with my pregnancy. (I had a miscarriage prior & then went to 1 appointment with another provider & knew i needed to seek something else out for my care for this pregnancy) With that being said, I cannot say enough great things about Maggie & her team. I am what you call “scrunchy”- I have a certain appreciation for modern medicine but also feel like holistic & natural should still be offered & discussed concerning health care. I literally interviewed and drilled Maggie for hours before choosing her as our midwife lol She was perfect in regards to answering our questions throughout our entire care. She would share both the modern medicinal & holistic approach to different things that would come up. Above all else she was so supportive of our choices. I NEVER felt judged. I never felt pressured to do anything I wasnt comfortable with. I was able to text her at all times whenever something came up. At one point toward the end of my pregnancy I was even able to call her at 3am when my pregnancy nerves had got the best of me & I needed to know what was going on with my body. My birth: After laboring at home for HOURS, I got to the point where I needed relief & rest. I believe I was her first transfer to a hospital. I was SO SCARED about going from a homebirth to a hospital. I was scared of how they would treat me & I was scared that I would be forced into something I didn’t want. However because of her rapport with the hospital, I was treated with the upmost respect. They still honored my wishes there & every doctor I spoke with only spoke highly of her! Even as a transfer I felt like she was still apart of my care team. She stayed in contact with me & my partner… literally for weeks after I had my baby. I truly trust her with my life, my baby’s life & am forever recommending her to everyone who’s pregnant. The only complaint I have; I wish she could be my baby’s pediatrician as well. Lol If you feel your gut telling you you need to find some other kind of care- just reach out to her. I promise You won’t regret it. More...

I can’t thank Maggie and the staff at harmony Health and Home Birth enough for helping me achieve my healing birth. After my first baby was born via unplanned c-section I knew I had to do things differently the moment my first was born. I reached out to Maggie before I even became pregnant to asked about my home birth options after a c-section. She supported me 100%. I hired her the moment I found out I was pregnant. I felt so supported my entire Pregnancy. Once my body was trusted to do what it was made to do I got to experience the most amazing birth in the comfort of my own home surrounded by the people I invited in my birth space.
