So we just had our last session with Kristin and I have to say finding her was a blessing... The way she captured my pups attention had me in awe and she really helped us see how smart my little man is (I already knew he was but he was butttt) She's the sweetest person I've met and cares about animals so much. Kristin was great with our 1 1\2 year old lab roxy. She was very patient with roxy as she is very high energy. She was very informative to a dogs natural behavior and in giving many helpful techniques in curbing her craziness. She has set us up with all the tools we need to make roxy a better behaved dogs and we have already seen much better behavior. Kristin is a great trainer. I reached out to her after trying a few different dog trainers. She was the only one who was truly able to help my dog Ollie who suffers from anxiety. She was able to build a bond with him from day one and was able to help us on Ollie's barking and listening issues. I met kristen through a very close friend. And when I found out she was a dog trainer I immediately hopped on with my questions seeing as I have a crazy puppy of my own. Even though we're a couple states away. She is always there for of my questions. She has given me advice on training, exercise, dog feelings, and much more. Kristin is great just with animals in general! I have never met anyone who is more passionate about them than she is. She loves all animals and she has a very obvious and apparent passion for them, it is one of her qualities that I love and respect in her so much. If there is anyone you could trust with training your dog it is definitely her. My dog absolutely loves her to pieces! Kristin is a very good friend of mine and every time she comes over my house my Mitchy-boy is in her lap within seconds. She not only can train them but she bonds with them, it's amazing to see. Kristin is an awesome trainer! She has helped me & my pup have better walks on leash, how to "leave it" and taught us how to practice recall outside. We are working on waiting at the door nicely when people ring the doorbell and not getting overly excited when we see people out on our walks.

I really wanted to find a trainer that used only positive reinforcement and hadn't come across anyone local until I heard about Olive Paws from a friend on Facebook. I chatted with Kristin for a little bit before we met and I'm really glad we moved forward and she took us on as clients :) It has been a great experience learning how teach my dog what is good and what isn't with only positive reinforcement.

I could not be happier with my experience using Kristin as my dog trainer for Wyatt. When I first adopted Wyatt from a rescue center, he was shy, timid and fearful. Kristin was respectful of Wyatt’s boundaries and explained in further detail why Wyatt exhibited certain behaviors due to his fear aggression. Kristin saw that I wanted Wyatt to blossom into the dog that I knew he was. She also saw how overwhelmed I was. She was able to comfort me by letting me know that I was not alone. From there Kristin gave me useful tips, strategies and the guidance that I needed as well as what Wyatt needed by using positive reinforcement. If I had a question, I could reach her anytime anywhere by phone, email or text. Wyatt went from constantly barking and growling at company in my home to accepting treats out of company’s hands. Kristin brought Wyatt out of his shell and helped with his fearful behaviors. He has also learned a few tricks along the way! I highly recommend Kristin as a dog trainer. When I reached out to Kristin I was almost at the end of my rope for my pup, Boon. The older he got the more aggressive he was becoming. He jumped and barked at every noise. He shied away from shadows. He had decided that anyone wearing a hat, glasses, hood, or anyone jogging, walking with a stroller, riding a bicycle or even driving a medium to large car/SUV/truck was an enemy and he needed to protect me at all costs. People walking with their children or dogs started crossing the street or changing direction in order to stay away from him. I was desperate to learn ways to teach him that he was safe with me and that I wasn't going to let anyone or anything hurt him. I clicked with Kristin immediately and began working as hard as I could, texting her with questions between training sessions and making sure to share his progress with her. There wasn't a single text that was ever ignored and not responded to. Very simply said, she helped me save his life. The dog he is now, 6 wks after starting to train, is nothing like the dog he was. He is manageable, barks much less, is attentive to his surroundings but not on full guard all the time and he is starting to socialize with other dogs again. I'm sure that he and I still have a long way to go but as Kristin kept telling me, "every small step is still a step in the right direction". I have 2 dogs that I got around a year old and both came from not the best environment. Kristin has helped me with teaching my dogs to cope with their new environments and helped me train them. Her passion for animals makes the whole experience that much better she is so enthusiastic and loves her job so much that it just feels like play time. Our last training session i for Brady is this week which will make Brady and us sad. Brady is a VERY energetic 11 month golden retriever puppy who really wanted to be good. A lot of our training sessions have been training us! Kristin has been really wonderful in explaining how Brady is thinking and why he is doing what he is doing. Our daughter came to visit for the first time since we started working with Kristin and saw a huge improvement in his behavior. He really is getting that if he wants attention he needs to sit and not hurl his 80 lb body at the person he wants attention from! Kristin is so awesome! My retriever/lab mix was a stray and is very independent, so she was always stubborn about being told what to do. Kristin started walking out two dogs a couple months ago and it has been the best decision we have made in a while! She is so kind and loves our dogs as much as we do! Krisitin is an excellent trainer. She's helped me with my boxer, Betty, on and off for the last year. She did basic puppy training, answered my random questions over the past year and helped with a specific issue that recently arose. Betty has become protective of my 3 small children and reacts aggressively towards some other dogs when they come too close. Through Kristin's purely positive training and only 2 sessions, Betty is already becoming less reactive towards the other dogs. It's such a great feeling to see it all coming together. And on a side note, Kristin taught Betty to give her paw in about 5 minutes!

All the training has been at my home which is so incredibly convenient for me.

Kristin has also been more than willing to answer any questions that I've had even when we're not doing any active training sessions. I don't any other trainers that are so willing to help.

Kristin is a great dog trainer! Not only did she teach my dog a bunch, she taught me even more about how to train my dog. I never realize how important it is for the dog parent to be educated about your animal's perspective ! She never made me feel like I was stupid for not understanding how to train my dog or for reacting wrong or using the wrong lingo when speaking to him. I heard about "Olive" aka Kristin through a friend and wasn't quite sure what route to take in training our beautifull and crazy addition to our family. Daisy is a rescue and decided to adopt us but we were having puppy issues that we needed training in. When I contacted her I was upfront about what we could do and what my other options were. To say she was persistent is putting it mildly and let me say in the most wonderful and effective way. She didn't give up on us explaining the difference in training one on one versus group training. She came over and in one hour showed us more than we had ever known when years ago we had brought our other dog (who passed) for group training. I am not saying anything against group training. What I am saying is Kristin is amazing with Daisy and us. She takes the time to explain everything she is doing and make sure we understand it. Already we are seeing such a change in Daisy and as I said it has only been one lesson. I can't give enough praise to Kristin for what she is helping us with. She knows her stuff and you can be assured you are definitely getting a professional. I would recommend anyone to give her a chance and you will not be disappointed. I absolutely adore Kristin! My husband, puppy and I moved from Maine to NH a couple months ago and a were used to our dog sitter/walker over there so we were apprehensive when looking for someone. My husband I both work full time jobs so we needed someone who was going to be available quite often. After I messaged her with our Introduction she quickly and professionally went into detail about her services she provides and the amount of care she has for her clients and clients parents. Almost admediately after hours of searching , our little family was ready to meet her! The second she saw Milo she was full of smiles! She introduced herself and shook our hands and then we began using her services.

Since we have been using her services I now am seeing how accommodating, how in love with her buisness and how great she is! We recently went on a cruise and last minute she was ready to watch Milo in our home for a week. And I mean so last minute! I think 2 days before we left!
