We adopted our pitbull Kiki from NYBC in August of 2018 and thought life was going to be a fairy tale afterwards. The most lovable dog we've  ever seen! However about 3 weeks ago she hurt her hip very badly and started showing some agression towards the other dogs. We called NYBC and they sent their trainer Joey to work with her. I have nothing but love for this man and NYBC forever. Not only did he work with Kiki but all the dogs. We knew we were pretty horrible trainers to begin with and only ever wanted all the dogs to be happy. We were doing so many things wrong and I believe we got more training than all the dogs put together!! Joey blew us away! Now mind you without us truly realizing it these dogs were walking all over us and life was total chaos. Within less than 60 seconds with each dog he had them walking without pulling and totally focused on him. Then he performed a miracle....he taught them to stay. That may sound easy to some but our two newest dogs would take off running through the neighborhood when they saw an opening to do so. He had them sit and stay WHILE he laid down the leash and walked away. I thought for sure we'd be chasing them down again but nope.... they stayed exactly where they were. It was a truly incredible experience working with him. He taught us so many things within the few hours he was here and i would honestly recommend him to anyone! Not once did he raise his voice or get angry. He taught us how to do what he was doing with patience and respect. How to recognize signs the dogs give long before they hit the red zone and even how to keep them focused on us no matter what else is going on around them. He has a calm, confident disposition and quite frankly its like we have new dogs. NOW they can be happy the way we wanted them to be from the first. If anyone has Pitty issues please give New York Bully Crew a call and ask for Joey. He will not disappoint and your home will be calmer and happier like ours is now! NYBC stands by the dogs they rescue and adopt. Which really was a surprise to us how concerned they were when we called them. They offered advice on what options we had and we chose to have Joey come here because we wanted him to work with them right in their own environment. Their trainers are the best I've ever seen or even heard about.  If we have any future issues with any of our dogs NYBC is the place we'll be calling and Joey is the trainer we'll be requesting!  These guys truly love our dogs as much as we do and will do anything to keep them safe and happy. True professionals and the realest people I've encountered. We could not possibly be happier with the way things went today!  We love you Joey and NYBC!!  THANK YOU! More...

I had a moment to spend some time and do a charity car rally for this organization to raise awareness and money for the shelter and rescue and wow, I was impressed and found new respect for those who spend time to rescue these pups. Pitbulls get such a bad rap and it's rather sad but it's so awesome that these organizations are up and running to help dogs in need. Thank you guys for all that you do! More...

Love this rescue.  I donate all the time and do not need to get acknowledge for it.  I do it because I want to help out.  I think they do a lot and take in dogs that no one else will.  I wish they had a bigger place so they could help more dogs but such is such.  I give them a lot of credit. Amazing rescue! I went over the weekend to walk the dogs they have! The staff is kind and you can tell that they do everything in there power to ensure the dogs are happy and healthy. Most of these dogs come from horrific situations. New york bully crew treats these dogs medically, they work with a trainer and are well taken care for. It's amazing what some TLC can do! There isn't enough good things i can say about this place! They continue to inspire my every day... my next dog will certainly come from here! More...

I've said it a million times with every rescue I've worked with but if you leave a negative review on a rescues page you are doing the animals a disservice and should be ashamed of yourself. I work for a different rescue and received an anonymous call from someone about a dog being abandoned in a random location off Bronx river pkwy. Knowing I was at my full time job and also that I couldn't bring a random dog into the foster based rescue I work for I urgently filled out the abuse form on NYBC's websites. Craig called me immediately and asked for more info. Over the next few hours I provided him with as much info as I could and now this dog is safe due to hisTeams rescue efforts. Next Time you feel like writing a bad review or trashing NYBC or any rescue remember that this dog was put out like trash and rescued with NO questions asked. For allThe keyboard warriors out there you can also help instead of writing bad reviews, You can donate and you can volunteer. More...

I am not afiliated with nor do I work for this rescue but having adopted from them I just DO NOT understand some of these reviews. ...This is NOT a rescue that is just going to push their dogs out the door to the first potential adopter and I RESPECT that. This rescue is trying to change the perception of Bully breeds and that is why they're so thorough....Yes the application is a little longer than other rescues(I have adopted from 4) and Yes there is an application fee but all this does is weed out people that are not serious, therefore, cutting down review times.I can only speak to my experience of them and to be honest it was amazing.I was very detailed and honest in my application, my references were easily contacted, and my vet was notified that i was applying so that they could have my both of my dogs records to release. Within 2 days of submitting my application I was notified that they had talked to my vet and that I would be contacted in a few days for a video tour and interview.Again, 2 days later I was contacted by Melissa- we scheduled the tour for the following day. During the interview I was blunt and honest about my wants and activities with a new pup. I was told 3 days later that I was approved and could come in the next day (sunday) for my new pup.I think it's important to realize just because you see the dog on their site, Facebook, or instagram and find him/her precious DOES NOT mean that its a good fit for your environment. It is easy to get emotional about these things but at the end of the day I'm okay with the owner or worker hurting a few feelings in order to insure the dogs go into the correct forever home. NY Bully Crew has done a lot to care, and raise awareness for this misunderstood breed.  I am mostly grateful to them for giving me my beautifully brindled pit, and running partner:)

Before I went through the adoption process I did a lot of reviewing different organizations and what people had to say about them.  I for the life of me cannot figure out how there could be a negative word said about New York Bully Crew and how they run their business.  The adoption process, while thorough, was easy and they remained helpful on the phone through the whole process.  After being approved my girlfriend and I went in person to meet a few of the dogs we were looking at on the Internet.  Two of the employees, Josh and Nicole, were exceptional in explaining and introducing us to a few of their animals.  After a couple days discussing I went back to pick up our foster pit Brick.  Again they were so helpful through the entire process from the start of the paperwork to helping load him in my car.Anyone crying about the adoption fee it's listed clearly on the website and it's literally the least you can do to help them continue doing what they do best.  Craig the owner was also a cool ass dude who shook my hand and thanked me, as well as giving some pointers to make the whole process that much more enjoyable.  Really thank you guys for everything.
