They catered my husband’s surprise 60th birthday party last Saturday and the food was amazing! I just wanted Hors D’oeuvres served since the party was in the afternoon. Emma gave me a wonderful selection of items to choose from and they were all delicious. I had so many compliments on the food and we had nothing left. Pricing was very reasonable and they came an hour before the party to set up then came back about 30 minutes before the end to collect their trays and serving equipment. I'm so glad I found New Wave Catering! They made the process a breeze. From deciding on a menu to the evening of the event, they did a fantastic job. My guests couldn't stop talking about the artichoke dip- I think I saw someone actually lick their plate! The fajitas were amazing, and my Midwest guests were very impressed with the tortillas and rice. Chef Justin and Emma were attentive to everyone's needs, and mixed a really nice signature cocktail (sangria) that the non-wine drinkers and non-bourbon drinkers loved equally. We wanted several appetizers and charcuterie for our guests! On the day Emma & Justin arrived nice and early and were so nice. Chef Justin kept my 5 year old entertained by answering his questions and allowing him to sample some foods while he was preparing everything. Our guests had nothing but compliments all night about the food. It was delicious and presented fabulously. I can not thank Emma and Justin enough for making our birthday celebration so successful. What’s your signature dish?
Anything with seafood. Red Snapper is my favorite with a parm risotto. I also create a solid shrimp and grits.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
I usually throw a few ideas their way and ask if there is anything particular they would like to have. What are some of their favorite meats and veggie and I'll put a twist on them.
What do you love most about your job?
Having conversation while cooking. Seeing someone eyes light up after I've prepared a dish or taught them how to create a dish. Also getting to meet and network with so many people.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Being a bale to do something I love and the freedom that comes with it.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have been doing this for a while. I understand there are many challenges that come with learning clients but I make it my business to get what they want so they come back. I want return clients so I'm going to get it right the first time.
