Dr. Don Gilbert is a brilliant human being.  I have been meeting with him for a couple of months now and I have learned so much from our sessions. He is super blunt, and a bold realist.  There is no coddling and certainly no skirting around the issues you present.  His style of therapy is for people who want to take a cold, hard look at themselves and really do the work that it takes for self improvement to manifest.His education and background are impressive, and I would recommend his services to anyone looking for a good therapist. Counseling with Dr. Don Gilbert from New Life Counseling has been such a blessing. Dr. Gilbert helped me walk through some very difficult times while I was under his care. I started counseling for a very different reason than why I continued counseling.
Through my time under his care, I became stronger and was given the tools I needed to make the changes that I wanted to make for myself. The time came where I was able to step away from counseling and continue the work on my own.
Today, I can honestly say, I wouldn't recognize the woman who started counseling with him four years ago. I am now thriving in life. Yes, there are still rough days, and there are still things I am working on (there probably always will be ). However, for the first time in my life, I know who I am and I love myself!
If you are ready to do the work to become a better version of you, Dr. Gilbert can help you get there. Although it won't always be easy, it will always be worth it!

New life Counseling is a wonderful place to seek guidance in any stage of your life. Dr. Don Gilbert is a man of god that uses Christs teachings to guide and help when you seek his counseling. He will take the time to personally connect with you and is not afraid to speak about his life experiences as examples and to let you know that you are not alone in tough times in your life. I have referred Dr. Don to many friends and after speaking to him, I am thanked for putting him him their path. Knowing that he has helped me in so many levels, personalty, spiritually and mentally. Also to seed friends change from his guidance is amazing. Dr. Don will show love but he will also tell you the things you don't want to hear about yourself.
