Reply from Nature Dogz, LLC
John, thank you for the kind words and for trusting me to walk Jovi and Maddie! It always makes me extra happy when a rescued dog trusts me, so I am so happy to be accepted by both of them.
What do you love most about your job?
I love being able to meet other pet parents and care for their pets like they are my own. Having had pets my entire life I know the love that they bring to a person, and family, is not like anything else in the world. It is my goal and desire to provide love and compassion to keep your pets healthy and happy when you need to be away or just need a little extra help with their exercise.
What inspired you to start your own business?
When I left my management job of 25+ years I knew the next part of my journey would be with animals. I volunteer at 2 different shelters and am currently working on becoming a certified dog trainer. My goal in starting the business was to be able to work with pet parents and their animals and to help provide care. I also donate 10% back to local shelters because I believe their work is so important in providing medical care and forever homes.
Why should our clients choose you?
I treat each and every animal like they are my own but also know that every animal has different needs. My walks are designed to give the individual dog the mental stimulation they need. Some are super sniffers while others want to be marathon runners so I try to give them the best experience to leave them exercised, happy and healthy. I offer pet sitting because I believe our animals are often more happy in their home environment and being able to attend to them while the family is away will help keep them happy. Lastly, I just truly love animals and am delighted to see their individual personalities!
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
No, I cannot offer services online or remotely but can do a meet/greet for animals other than cats/dogs virtually. I want to be able to meet the cats and dogs but the guinea pigs, birds and hamsters, etc. don't seem to care if they get to meet me first. Our meet and greet for dogs and cats can be held in your yard instead of inside, if preferred.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I wear a mask during in person meet/greets. When walking dogs, I either use my own leash or wear gloves and always wash my hands thoroughly between clients. I carry hand sanitizer with me in my car and will sanitize door knobs, if requested.
Dog Walking/ On leash hikes
I provide neighborhood walks and a 1.5 hour on leash hikes at local trials. On the walks I allow them to sniff and explore. Sniffing provides mental stimulation and allows them to learn more about their world. Rates start at $20.00 for neighborhood walks and $45.00 for the hikes. Discount is applied if more than 10 services are booked in a 30 day period.
Pet Sitting
I offer pet sitting service for animals of all kinds. Fur, feathers, fins or scales? No problem! Pet sitting visits are for 20, 30 or 40 minutes. The visits include a short potty break in the yard, or a short leashed walk, food/clean water, play and lots of belly rubs and ear scratches. Cleaning of litter/bedding is also done on pet sitting visits. If needed, I can bring in mail, water indoor plants and alternate lights. Rates are $20.00, $25.00 and $30.00. Discount is applied if more than 10 services are booked in a 30 day period.
