We hired Manfred/Mirage Art Photography to photograph our October 7, 2023 wedding. From start to finish, he was extremely professional, very pleasant to work with and flexible with all of the details. Our wedding was informal, under 30 people and in a non-traditional location (an inn/historic property and not an event facility). We didn't want the posed, "fantasy" type shots that are popular now...we wanted good documentary photography that showed the emotion and flow of our day. We are both photograhers and bended to family pressure to have the wedding early in the day, which we didn't want because morning/early afternoon lighting can be harsh and difficut for photos. Manfred assured us that he could make it work, and he did. He exceeded our expectations and delivered exactly what we were looking for in the memories of our day. We have at least one photo showing every guest (including our dog begging) and many authentically romantic photos of us that we didn't know he took. He even put together a video of our day, which was an awesome surprise that we didn't expect. We had no idea he was running any video! When you're getting married, you're caught up in the moment and don't remember specifics of your ceremony, and it was really great to sit down together later and relive it from the perspective of our guests. If you are looking for a documentary photographer for your event, you won't be disappointed with Manfred. We highly recommend him and would work with him again if the opportunity arose. More...

Mr. Manfred and his associates were extremely professional, friendly, and flexible during the minor bumps and mishaps that any wedding might experience. He was there from beginning to end for multiple hours and took beautiful photographs and the wedding videos We explored the possibility of a drone if the conditions were right! What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
"When I capture the world, not only the quality of the picture matters, but the unique setting that represents the circumstance, the character, lifestyle and the emotion of the object."
I believe that it has to "click" between the photographer and the customer in so many ways. From quality of work to simple interaction and understanding the process. Pictures represent a second of someone's life, and should reflect a moment for many not only to see, but also to understand.
Each picture taking session is different. My pictures are of the highest quality with the best lens equipment for the shoot.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
In a personal conversation I would like to know exactly what the customer expects from the photo session and the picture(s). Should the picture be more glamorous or more artistic, etc.?
What should be the mood of the pictures?
Who will the picture be treasured by?
etc.
What do you love most about your job?
The opportunity to capture seconds of life and memories.
What inspired you to start your own business?
For many years I was heavily involved in the entertainment industry as promoter and as a music festival organizer. I organized over 3,600 concerts with huge stars to small traveling bands. During that time I also immensely enjoyed portraying the artist’s life and circumstances in photos.
For now I retired from my vital and highly enjoyable past of the music scene, but my love for photography remains, and is growing stronger and stronger.
I try to take the very same ambition to any photographic family settings. From wedding to baby pictures, the moment should reflect who we truly are in this world.
Why should our clients choose you?
My education is in architectural engineering and theology. Both of these studies allow me to identify and bring"form, function and soul" into any picture.
