We recently had the pleasure of bringing our newborn son to the studio for newborn photos. Our entire family was greeted with warmth and kindness. My son endured heart surgery and needed special care which was definantly given. Mikah took a good hour getting my son used to her touch and the surroundings before she even started the shoot. She has such passion for every aspect of a newborns first few weeks and takes her time capturing those special moments for us. She even brought my older children in and made them feel just as involved as the baby. She has an eye for unique poses and lighting that have amazing outcomes. Mikah is awesome, I was so nervous to take pictures with my toddler, she knew how to get both of us to smile, made us feel so comfortable. Mikah you are such a talented and kind hearted photographer!
Mikah has such a beautiful attention to detail that I just haven’t seen with many other photographers. You can see she takes time and so much pride in her work and she is so incredibly patient. Mikah also does a fantastic job making Mom comfortable as well as baby. She made such pleasant conversation with me and it makes it so much easier to pose and be smiley when you feel like you’re in front of a friend vs someone you really haven’t met before.
The second you walk in the door there’s a welcome sign for your little one that makes your whole day. It’s just like the beautiful little things she does that make alll the difference in the world! My husband and I recently hired Mikah to photograph the birth and newborn sessions for our son. Since I'm also a photographer, I am pretty particular about who I choose to document the special moments in my life but we chose Mikah because of her impressive portfolio and her personable, friendly personality. Prior to either of the shoots, Mikah allowed me to visit her studio to check out her props and wardrobe. I was pleasantly surprised at her enormous stash and I was relieved that I didn't need to purchase anything on my own. She is diligent at keeping her props and wardrobe relevant and up-to-date and she had so many adorable items to choose from. For the labor and delivery of our son, Mikah patiently stood by on call as he was a week past his due date. She came to the hospital at a moments notice and even waited another hour in the waiting room because we weren't quite ready for her. She was nonintrusive during the labor process and we barely noticed she was there which made the experience more comfortable. She even took our video camera and captured some priceless footage for our family vlog. During our newborn session, Mikah was very comfortable handling and comforting our son and we didn't have to do much more than breastfeed him if he got hungry. My husband even took a nap! She rocked the shoot and did many different poses and outfits with him. We also took parent shots and our moms came to step in a frame or two. At our viewing appointment, there were so many wonderful photos that we had a very difficult time deciding; however, Mikah was again very patient with us as we took hours to make our decisions. We highly recommend Mikah Marie Photography and I will definitely be referring out any clients in need of newborn photography since I no longer do these types of sessions. When Mikah's portfolio came across mu instagram, I was so impressed by her work! I instantly stalked her website and fell in love with the "squishy" newborn photos. At our newborn session, Mikah was so good with our baby! She didn't fuss or anything. I kept telling my husband how good Mikah was, because I didn't have to step in and help at all. Evelyn was at total ease. When our gallery was delivered to us for us to choose our images, I had the hardest time. Every image is absolutely gorgeous and perfectly captured our little one. How could I possibly choose? Thankfully, Mikah offers packages that worked well for us, and let us choose the images we wanted, and the ones our parents wanted too!

We loved our Mikah Marie Photography experience!

Before the session, Mikah made sure we were prepared for the session with all the details necessary. From the very beginning, she ensured we felt welcome and comfortable; she even added a personal touch with a cute welcome sign at the entrance to her studio (see attached photo).

During the session, Mikah was very patient and caring with our newborn. She put us at ease as she carefully handled our baby girl. She had beautiful props and set up gorgeous shots with such cute poses, but she was also open to our own ideas. Also, during our viewing session, she was incredibly patient with us as we decided which photos to order.

After the session, Mikah communicated with us in a clear and timely manner regarding our photos. We received our photos less than two weeks after our viewing session, and they are absolutely stunning! We are so pleased!

Mikah has such wonderful customer service and beautiful photography skills. She handles her business professionally and radiates a genuinely kind spirit. We hope to continue coming back as our baby grows! More...
