Melissa took the most gorgeous photos I have ever seen in my life. I do not count myself as a photogenic person, and I was nervous that even with all of the makeup, hair, wedding dress, and glow from happiness that I would have that I still wouldn’t love looking at pictures of myself at our wedding. I was completely floored when Melissa sent us our wedding album and she totally exceeded my expectations of capturing the day. I don’t even have social media, but I’ve considered getting an account now just to share these beautiful photos with the world! With all of the planning, thought, time, and money that go into your wedding day, in the end what you’re (hopefully) left with is beautiful memories and photos to help you remember that day. Other than the venue, I would say that the photographer was the most important selection we made because that’s how we would be reminded of this wonderful time in our lives. Wedding photos are something that you share with family, friends, future children, and anyone who asks to see them! I had heard so many horror stories from people about how their photos didn’t come out well and now they had nothing to show anyone. Not only is Melissa a kind and sweet person, but also, she is an artist with her camera and gave us the best gift that anyone could have given us for the wedding. She listened to every direction that I had given her before the wedding, and she also dealt with all of the last-minute craziness that came with the day (families deciding they want last minute group photos, timings being shifted around, me breaking my shoes!). Her and our DJ even were so kind and bustled my dress for me when those who were originally supposed to do that were nowhere to be found. She brings with her a calming energy that is essential to have on a day where everyone else is buzzing around and nerves are high. She blended in completely and never once did I feel like she was in our face or anyone else’s. My mother was a photography teacher for 10 years, and she was so stunned by Melissa’s beautiful work and how every picture came out. I truly love every single one of the pictures that we got back, and she enhanced the natural beauty of everything without making anything look retouched or fake. I first met Melissa at a bridal show and loved the rose gold photo album she had on display as it matched the rose gold on the underside of my engagement ring! Down the road a bit, we met up at a cafe to discuss some things. I felt like I was at a cafe with a long time friend! She was so easy going and more! We looked through her sample albums and she explained the work behind some of the beautiful photos. I was so impressed! I booked her for our wedding and couldn’t wait! Since then, two more of my friends booked her after I told them about my experiences. She called me closer to the wedding to go over details and again it was like talking to a long time friend! We got married Saturday and she was phenomenal to work with! We even were ahead of schedule with photos so we had time to do some really funny sessions with our bridal party!!! I’m not even sure where to start. Three years ago Melissa and her husband, Alex, shot a wedding that my now husband and I were both in. We hung out with them at the reception and just loved them. My husband, Cody, said to Alex that he was going to marry me some day and that they needed to shoot our wedding. And just because they were so wonderful to work with, I would have agreed even before seeing her work. But my friends pictures came back and just, wow. So when our time came around, it was a no brainer. My wedding day would not have been what it was without Melissa. She was always two steps ahead of me, getting all the detailed shots I wouldn’t even think of, keeping the groomsmen in line when they were getting a little unruly � her organization is unparalleled, we had a list of photos and we knocked them all off the list over an hour ahead of schedule (we did first look and group photos in advance), which left us with time for some more munchies and mimosas � she’s just such a wonderful, beautiful person inside and out and I’m so happy to have had her there on the greatest day of my life. And after seeing a sneak peek of photos - they are so absolutely gorgeous, she is so incredibly talented. I am so blessed to have these gorgeous memories to cherish forever. Oh where to begin :) Melissa has an eye for capturing the best moments of your day and that is exactly what she did for our wedding. Melissa is the greatest photographer I know. It is truly hard to express just how amazing Melissa is in every way! She was great to work with before the wedding, during, and after. My husband being military and myself a nurse, our schedules change constantly. Melissa was great at staying in touch and really was flexible with the planning process, which we were so grateful for! The day of the wedding, Melissa arrived on time, ready to go, and with a smile on her face! She made the day so stress free and her calmness helped me more than she knows. She even took her bobby pins out of her own hair so we could fix my veil, yea, she's that great! The photos she took can only speak for themselves. She captured everything we wanted and then some, beautifully. We also loved having the second shooter who was also extremely talented. As you can see, I can't say enough about Melissa. I would highly recommend Melissa Lynn Studios for a wedding photographer! She was fantastic to work with, very relaxed yet focused the entire day. Melissa is also extremely helpful. She even helped us pack our car before we left for the wedding ceremony! She worked from the list of required photos I gave her on our wedding day and made sure she didn't miss a shot!
