Megan did our family’s mini session and the results were amazing. Truly a great experience and she even had our pictures done two days earlier than estimated. She’s fantastic!

We hired Megan as a videographer for our wedding 11/5/21 and are so happy that we did! She is extremely professional and responsive, while also personable and fun. She did an excellent job both directing us and capturing candid moments of our wedding day. We highly recommend this business to anyone looking for wedding photo/video services! Update: after receiving our wedding video from Megan we are even HAPPIER that we chose her as our wedding videographer! I was absolutely blown away at how beautiful and magical our video is, and how well she captured our special day, everything I saw and felt we now can relive over and over. Thank you Megan!!! While Megan may be a good photographer, she doesn't have what it takes to be a good wedding photographer. Anything related to weddings are more expensive for a reason and she fell very flat on multiple aspects of running her own business. Are the photos good? Yes and no. Our posed photos came out beautifully. Our candids are lacking in quality and in quantity. There are like 10 photos of the same 10 people over and over again and some of them look like screenshots of a video she took. We got our photos about 7 months after our wedding. Our email exchanges are exhausting and I agree with another bride who commented below: excuses after excuses, false hopes after false hopes. If your photos are behind by 7 months, you need to stop taking on other gigs and focus on the photos and videos you already owe. Something happened to the camera/battery so for about 5-10 seconds in our first dance, it's just a shot of our feet. Disappointing. One thing I CANNOT get over is during one of our exchanges regarding the day-of scheduling and ensuring Megan and her assistant gets enough time to eat, she wrote, “I would never go to the extents of what that one photographer on the news did (delete the couples photos and left because he didn’t get fed).” Was this a veiled threat??? Not only did I offer her time off during cocktail hour to eat, I was paying for her and her assistant to have a full plated meal. It would just be served AFTER all the guests have been served, which is an industry standard, at least in northeast NJ. The icing on the cake: she texts me AFTER she has shipped the USB with my photos and videos to confirm my address. I had already let her know a few weeks prior my new address. What's the point of confirming after you shipped it? And when I had let her know it's the wrong address, she responded that she couldn't find the email. Thankfully, I live only 1 hr away from my old place so I had to drive up and fetch it. This has been the most tiresome, exhausting, unprofessional part of my entire wedding and I'm disappointed that my otherwise perfect wedding is stained with the experience with working with Megan. I would recommend Meganography for the quality of Megan’s photos; however, I believe the business aspect of Meganography definitely needs some improvement. Megan is a very talented photographer. She captured some beautiful candid shots at our wedding-some being displayed in the photos attached to this review. Her editing style is very elegant there is quality in her work. The only issue that I have with the photography is that the detail shots were not staged (This didn’t take away from my satisfaction with the photos all together, it is just something I noticed and thought I should include in my review). There’s a picture attached of a white cardholder that’s been in many of my family’s weddings, and in the picture it’s crooked, which could have been easily adjusted before taking a picture. There were a few more pictures like this that are not accessible in my phone: one includes the sweetheart table that we had where someone had placed a gallon of orange juice on before the reception. It would have been a beautiful picture, but the gallon of orange juice is quite distasteful. The videography was not the best; however, the overall video came together well. The raw footage was EXTREMELY shaky, which made us really nervous to see the final video. The sound quality in the raw footage was very poor as well. It was extremely hard to hear the ceremony. The edited video with music and transitions told the story of our wedding very nicely. The edits, music, and transitions distracted from the shakiness of the videos, but it was still noticeable. We received both our pictures and videos late. The pictures were only a few days late; however, they did not meet the date Meganography had selected to put in the contract. The video was MONTHS late. I kept in constant contact with Megan trying to ensure the video would be done on time; however, it wasn’t. There was an issue with the hard drive our video was on that occurred AFTER the promised date. Because Meganography failed to meet the deadlines, they, themselves, created, I asked if they provided any sort of compensation for failing to uphold their contract. Megan said she did not and should not have been held responsible because her contract specifically stated that Meganography is not liable for any technical issues that interfere with their ability to provide the gallery by the promised date-however, the issue, again, occurred after the due date. She kept referring us to the contract to make sure we held our end of it (example: not holding her responsible for the technical issues), but when she was referred to her contract to make sure she upheld her end-she deflected her responsibilities with excuses. Communication between Megan and us was not good. Megan would post updates about galleries on her Instagram stories, but would not reach out. It is not the responsibility of the customer to find out when they will receive the products they PAID for, it is Meganographys responsibility to ensure that if they fail to meet their end of the contract, they communicate directly with the customer and ensure satisfaction with the product. Finally, my mother left a review amidst the waiting period for our video. In the review, my mother expressed dissatisfaction with the way it was handled. Instead of reaching out directly to my mother, Megan asked me to speak to my mother and let her know that she shouldn’t have left a review because “she wasn’t a paying customer”. In our case specifically, my mother did in fact contribute to the cost of the photography, but was not the one who signed the contract; however, this is not important. The issue is that instead of understanding that customers were unhappy with the services she was providing, she immediately deflected the blame. Overall, I am happy with the pictures and EDITED video we got, but I’m not happy with what it took to get there. Wedding pictures are important, as Megan has expressed her understanding of in many of her posts, and when providing services of that significance, there needs to be a lot more consideration for the customer’s experience. My experience with Meganography would have been better had she communicate directly to the customer, offered some sort of compensation for failing to meet her deadline, addressed a negative review solely with the reviewer, staged her photos, steadied the camera that was recording, and wasn’t so defensive that she refused to accept responsibility for her part in the dissatisfaction of a paying customer. “I’m sorry you had a bad experience, but _____” isn’t accepting responsibility, nor is it professional. Quite frankly it looks really bad on a public review. Handling things in private would look 10000 times better and could possibly even change the review! I hope to see Meganography make some changes and keep growing in success! 🤍 More...

I do not recommend Meganography for wedding pictures. Our engagement pictures were great and we got them back quickly. Wedding day comes around (October 31st, 2021) and the day was perfect! Our contract date that the wedding pictures would be done is January 9th, 2022. We get no updates from November 10th to January 10th when I had to reach out to her and ask where our wedding pictures were at. She then proceeds to give a long list of other things she needed to do before editing our pictures and that she’s prioritizing other customers first before us. All we wanted was communication and updates on OUR pictures. What we got was rudeness and a whole bunch of information about other things she had to do in her life, very unprofessional. When our pictures weren’t done on January 9th, she pushed the due date back 3 weeks to January 31st. When we didn’t hear from her AGAIN, I had to contact her and ask about our pictures. She pushes the due date back to April 9th. April 9th comes and goes and she did not contact us, so again, I had to ask her for a new due date. Then she says they will be done the following week (april 18th-24th). We heard nothing that whole week. So again, I had to ask her for a new due date. Finally she was able to give us our pictures on May 2nd, 2022. After 6 months of waiting and four rescheduled due dates, we finally received them. Normally, the turn around time is 4-6 weeks for wedding pictures, not months. If she would have been professional and contacted us before each due date saying they weren’t ready, instead of us having to contact her first every single time, we wouldn’t be writing this post. Very disappointed and hope no one else had to go through this. More...

If zero stars were an option, that’s what I would give to Meganography as that is exactly how many photos I received from Megan after our photo shoot and written agreement. Anyone looking for a photographer should be extremely cautious when considering Megan due to the lack of professionalism and delivering on written agreements as described below. We have worked with many photographers but have never experienced something like this, so please beware of what you are getting in to with her: Megan reached out to me on Instagram offering to photograph my husband and me in exchange for her compensating us for our time. I told Megan that instead of providing us with money, we would do the photo shoot in exchange for the edited photos. We agreed and the shoot was shortly thereafter in April 2021. In preparation for the photo shoot I had my hair done, makeup done, got a spray tan and invested in an outfit because I was excited to have some beautiful photos of my husband and I for our home. The shoot was about 35 minutes away from our home. My husband is a lawyer and I am a CPA so we thought it would be a good idea to take some time out of our busy schedules to get photos of us taken. Well the shoot was in April-21. Fast forward to July, I reached out to Megan and she says she would be providing them soon (3 months later). Months pass and still nothing so I reach out again in December (8 months later) and she said she would get them to me by the end of the year. Still nothing, so I reach out in May-22. THAT IS 13 MONTHS from initial shoot. Megan tells me with quite the attitude that she will not get to my photos anytime soon and she may have even lost them. She is completely rude about it and offers to provide me the raw images if she “can even find them”. I’m sorry but that is disgusting. My husband and I took hours out of our day, spent hundreds of dollars to prepare, and we received nothing in return. I have no interest in receiving raw images (if she can even find them), which I could have very well taken myself. We discussed specific edits I would even want in person, and clearly all images she provides are edited as per her Instagram. Please take this message very seriously when considering Meganography because she even says in her message to me that her wedding clients have to wait 5-6 months for images - refer to highlights in screenshots. WOW imagine getting married and half a year later you may or may not get your photos?! That is awful. Are you too big time of a photographer that you don’t deliver timely? That’s terrible customer service. Sadly, I am left at a complete loss in my situation which she was unwilling to remediate. Please refer to screenshots for details. I highly suggest looking elsewhere for all of your photography needs. More...

We’re so happy we hired Meganography to be our wedding photographer! Megan’s artistic style is exactly what we wanted in our photos and she was so sweet and easy to work with. We were able to relax and just be ourselves and have fun on the wedding day because we knew Megan was capturing all of the important moments. She worked seamlessly with our videographer and she was more than willing to brave the freezing rain with us because she knew we really wanted outdoor portraits. We really can’t say enough good things about Meganography and we would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer! More...

I was one of Meganography’s clients who unfortunately had to wait about 6 months to get my wedding photos back but they were absolutely worth the wait. We have over 2,000 photos (all edited) of our special day. Whether Megan and her second shooter knew or not, they were drawn to and took lots of candid photos of our parents, grandparents, closest friends and nephews that we will cherish forever. It’s one thing to get beautiful photos of my husband and I, which of course we absolutely received, but we are going to have photos of our loved ones forever, that we will cherish, that are beautiful thanks to Megan. Megan always responded very quickly to any of my emails and was very upfront about everything that was going on on her end. She blended in beautifully to our day while still getting thousands of photos that we now have. She was patient, creative, and helpful outside of just being my photographer. She helped me bustle my dress which is not some thing a photographer has to do on the day of your wedding. We will absolutely use Megan in the future and all of our friends and family are raving about the beautiful pictures of our wedding. More...

Unfortunately it took 6 months for her to send me my pictures. Long story short she did not back her photos up not just mine but A LOT of other photoshoots she done before mine and they got corrupted and she wasn’t able to get them back for about 2 months then it took her 4 months to do the ones before me until she was able to get them done. I understand mistakes happen it’s how you handle it in the long run to justify what had happen. She honestly kept giving me excuses after excuses and then also a lot of false hope. She gave me time and dates of when I’ll get them and never got them. She’s young and still has time to learn. The photos were great some of them I would of not sent to a client but most of them were great. At the end of the day it’s how you handle situations and unfortunately this was handled horribly. I will leave it at that. I can finally move on with my life. There’s honestly so much more I can say but I’m not going too because this is her reputation and business on the line. Thank you for taking the photos! More...
