Our job was the first one ever done by Maui Kitchens after it was established. We worked closely with Dave Iacovone, the owner, to create the kitchen we wanted. The result was a transformed kitchen space that is both beautiful and functional. We are very happy with it five years later. The most impressive thing is Maui Kitchens' after-sale service. Maui Kitchens did such an outstanding job on our kitchen that, about a year later, we hired them to redo our bathroom. The bathroom renovation is even more outstanding, due in great part to Dave's design and suggestions, like including a bubble massage tub, a pull-out hamper (we decided on 2! ), and his suggestion of using different sizes of travertine tile on the walls to create a really eye-catching design. In addition, during both the kitchen and the bathroom renovations, it was a pleasure to work with Dave because he was completely flexible when it came to making changes in the original design and accommodating our wishes. We have since hired Maui to paint our hallway in a faux marble finish and it came out beautiful. We are currently waiting to be scheduled for the installation of new flooring in our entryway, where, again, Dave came up with beautiful samples for us to choose from that I know will be perfect. I highly recommend Maui Kitchens for any home remodeling for several reasons: Dave is so easy to work with and a pleasure to deal with; they use very high quality materials; the workmen are all very professional and do their jobs with great expertise; and perhaps most important of all, they stand behind the job 100% - if anything goes wrong (and "stuff happens" on any remodeling job!) they'll make it right - even if it's months after the job is finished. We had a great experience with Maui. Completely updated our large kitchen- new granite, new back splash, new hood and appliances, re-arranged existing cabinetry, added under cabinet lighting. End result was spectacular. Even fixed a couple things the builder never could resolve. Took a little longer than expected, but the end result was well worth it. Our project consisted of a complete bathroom remodel (including enlarging the bathroom), bedroom upgrade (painting and installing crown molding), and installation of 19 interior doors (7 of which were hu sets of double folding doors).
The bathroom remodel was exceptional. The materials and finishes were beautiful; the workmanship was excellent; and the final product looks like something from a magazine.
The project foreman did most of the detail work on all the projects. He was very professional, and responsive to changes and corrections asked of him. The doors he installed fit perfectly.
The only issue we had was the project took longer than expected. Even so, we would not hesitate to hire Maui for another remodeling project. More...

Maui Kitchens replaced an outdated kitchen that was about 20 years old. The cabinets looked good but needed to be modernized with new hardware. Maui also installed new countertops, a backsplash, lighting and trim. They painted the ceiling/walls and added undercounter and recessed lighting. I knew what I wanted in terms of colors and style, but Dave guided me toward subway tile for the new backsplash. He also helped bring to life a cabinet design idea from a magazine with some unique touches that gave the existing cabinets a new look.

The entire project took about five days to complete, and was a very smooth process from start to finish. Dave was great about communicating updates and information. I can be a hard person to get a hold of, but he is pretty persistent. He kept me on track more than anything, and was also awesome about scheduling additional painting once it became clear that it needed to be done.

The cleanup Maui staff performed each day was also wonderful. They made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of each day, and everyone who worked on our kitchen was really friendly.

Dave is a great guy. He's easy to get along with and down to earth, and I will recommend him when I have the opportunity. Maui Kitchens will be doing work for us again! More...

My wife and I bought a 1956 era ranch home in the Easton area in 2009 when work brought me to this area. My mother-in-law was moving with us and this house though dated was the best fit. One item (of many) in need of an update was the original kitchen. In December 2014 we decide it was time to update the kitchen. We visited the Allentown Home show and talked with two firms about obtaining quotes for the upgrade. Dave and Scott from Maui Kitchens provide a plan and price that met our needs. We signed a contract with Maui Kitchens for the upgrade. To save expenses I said we would do the demolition and set up for the cupboards. It takes some faith by the installer to allow the owner to do work that may make installation problematic if not done properly. To Maui's credit, they were willing to work under this arrangement. Maui kept in close contact to insure timely ordering of the cabinets based on the preparation work. They assisted us with catalogs allowing us to select the cabinet hardware, counter tops, sink style and backsplash. Mark from Maui Kitchens was our installer, He began work in late March 2015. Mark was a very meticulous worker with attention to detail. The cabinets, crown molding, backsplash and under counter lighting were expertly installed. He was friendly, thoughtful and reviewed his work with us as it progressed. Work was fully complete by the latter part of May 2015 with the kitchen functional several weeks earlier. We now have a kitchen that is beautiful, functional and a joy to work in. We are happy with the service Maui Kitchen's provided and would recommend them to others looking for a kitchen upgrade. I saw the Maui Kitchens display at the Home Show at Ag Hall and liked what I saw. I signed up with 4 of the companies at the show to come to my home to give us an estimate and their ideas for our kitchen. Dave was the 4th one we met with and after spending a few hours with him, my husband and I were both confident that he had the vision and ideas that would result in an outstanding design for our kitchen. Our impression was that Dave uses only high quality materials, aims for perfection, and would be easy to work with. We signed with him that evening even though we don't usually make such decisions so quickly, and we have never regretted it - we were right on all counts. An example of his "vision": he was the only one of the 4 designers who came to our home who told us that he could remove the soffit and a partial wall between the kitchen and family room to give us the added inches we needed on one wall for a wider refrigerator and more counter space on either side of our cooktop. He also suggested replacing an under-counter 12 foot long cabinet facing the family room that had heavy sliding doors that were difficult to open and not very attractive, with a new 10-door cabinet to match the kitchen cabinets. The result is gorgeous and looks like furniture instead of an eyesore. An example of how easy it was to work with Dave: he was willing to "go back to the drawing board" (his computer) as many times as it took to give us exactly what we wanted. Together, we designed a combination pantry and clothes closet with no kick plate, which gives us more storage on the floor in the clothing side, a pullout shelf directly above the floor on the pantry side, and also 3 storage shelves in the top portion of the closet that spans both sides behind a second set of doors. Dave hadn't done anything like it before - it's a one-of-a-kind - and it came out great! An example of the quality of the materials: the cabinets are gorgeous, all drawers and closet doors are soft closing, the wide crown molding Dave uses is absolutely stunning (I haven't seen anything like it in the kitchens of friends who had their kitchens redone around the same time that we did), and the upper corner cabinet is offset from the cabinets on either side, giving us larger shelves (more storage) as well as a very "high end" look. There was no aggravation in working with Dave - whatever came up was taken care of. In fact, there was a problem with the instant hot heater about a year after it was installed during the kitchen reno, and Dave took care of contacting the company and arranging for a replacement which was still under warranty. Finally, I think Dave wants to walk into a kitchen he's just finished and be able to honestly say, "I think this kitchen is gorgeous!" He was as excited as we were to take pictures of our post-reno kitchen. And he wants his customers to be happy with the end result as well. With our kitchen, he has definitely succeeded - everyone who has seen our kitchen thinks it's gorgeous - and so do we. I would recommend Maui Kitchens to my friends (no family in town). In fact, Dave will be redoing our bathrooms soon - we didn't even bother talking to other companies. I have nothing but good things to say about Dave and I love cooking in my new kitchen! More...

My kitchen project was completed 8 years ago. At that time, I had met with various kitchen remodelers in the area. I just stopped into Dave's business at the time, just because it was close to my house and wanted to see what he had to offer. I realized that he was one of my daughter's soccer coaches and immediately had a connection. That chance experience turned into a beautiful kitchen, an amazing master bathroom, and a friend for life!! Dave is really good at presenting ideas, knowing what you want, putting them into his software and showing you exactly what your project will look like. His kitchen design moved my refrigerator from one end of the room to the other. Six inch crown molding was added atop the cabinets, the island was made bigger and the backsplash fits in with my decor. Dave works well with people.One of the things that impressed me was when Dave doesn't like the way a project turned out, or didn't like the quality of the product, he had his guys tear it out and start over or reorder another product. Dave's goal is to make his customers happy. After the kitchen project was completed, it was a 'no brainer' to have him remodel my master bathroom. The bathroom was gutted, replaced a closet with cabinets, replaced a bath/shower with a tiled shower and it's beautiful!! If you don't like the way something has turned out, Dave works with you to sort things out and comes up with a solution. Dave help you decide just by process of elimination. He is a partner and wants you to love your kitchen, bathroom or whatever the remodel project.
My expectations were definitely met. Even after the project has been completed, I feel comfortable to contact Dave for his expertise about anything.
I would recommend Maui to friends/family for their remodel….and I have!! More...

Was introduced to Maui at the Home Show at Stabler Arena. We happened to see their stand there and walked in just to look around. We had other projects that needed to be done before we were going to start our kitchen project. We talked to Dave and I thought, here we go he is going to forever bug us until we start our kitchen project. All he said was that he would like to come over and see our kitchen so he would know what he would be working with. After that he didn't call us back until ONE YEAR later just to check in. He didn't bug us about getting this job done but he didn't forget about us either. I was very impressed by that.

Kitchen # 1 - I loved the looks of it when it was finished. I loved how it was set up. When we were talking about how to set up the kitchen it really made a difference that Dave is a cook. He was able to offer good design advice because of that. He knows what it's like to be cooking a meal in a kitchen and how it should flow. The marjoity of the work was done during the early Fall months and we have a finished basement with microwave, frig and dishwasher so we were not inconvenienced too much. We were also able to grill out due to the warm weather. They were very good about keeping the dust and mess to a minimum and cleaning up after themselves at the end of each day. They took a wall out and rearranged the whole kitchen so it was not just getting new cabinets but was a much bigger project. It took several weeks longer than what they originally told us but it was worth the wait!!!!

Kitchen #2 - we had a house fire about a year and a half later and our house was gutted. We now have to redo our kitchen and we are getting Maui back in to do this. They are going to put the kitchen back the way we had it because we loved it so much the first time. The night of the fire, we had a man from a restoration company there and he said that he had previously been in construction and he noticed the beautiful kitchen we had. He asked who put it in and then also commented on the great quality of cabinets that were in the kitchen. Maui puts their "stamp" on the inside of their cabinets/drawers so I pulled out a drawer to show this man the "stamp". He said, "That's very classy". He is in charge of getting contractors to come in and restore our home and he was the one that contacted Maui for the kitchen. He knew cabinetry and he knew that what we had was high quality craftsmanship.

I am so anxious to have them come back and put another kitchen in for us. I am more excited than the first time because I know EXACTLY what kind of a great kitchen we will have once they are done. More...

MAUI completed the project on schedule and with the highest level of ingenuity and workmanship. The kitchen is a show place for my wife and I. I enjoyed working with the contractor to develop the final plans.The only issue I had with the project was the amount of or lack of detail in the original project budget/estimate. I did not have a good understanding of what equipment or grade of materials were included in the budget. For example, I thought the budget included the cost of appliances, which I found out half way into the project was not included. More...

We hired dave and Maui Kitchens to complete a cabinet reface and redesign of our kitchen. Overall we're very satisfied with and we would recommend him. I would refer him in a second. I think he's down to earth, delivers on his commitments and is very trustworthy. We received xcellent value and a fair price. Their workmanship is very neat and did not disrupt our household. We really didn't skip a beat in terms of lving.
He completed things on time in the time he promised and the job came out even more beautiful than we anticipated. Our friends and family have given us many compliments. Dave is a visionary, craftsman and outstanding talent.
We found Dave at a local home show where we chatted. He followed up immediately thereafter and the rest is history. If you are looking to upgrade your home and feel good about it, you couldn't hire a more professional and caring company than Dave and Maui Kitchens.
