I'm sorry, I really wanted to like this place . But I didn't . The Taco's just didn't taste good. I know this sounds cheesy but Taco Bell's Tacos are so much better! ! LoL I like a crunchy taco. Should've kept driving when we saw garbage on the side of building! We had a variety of orders and the only thing that was palatable was the bang bang cauliflower taco. It's really hard to mess up rice and beans but somehow they found a way to do it! Rice was dry....beans tasted like they were poured straight from a can! First time to Mattituck, and Mattitaco obviously caught our eye. Two guys helped us, and they were awesome! They gave some killer suggestions, and we thoroughly enjoyed every taco we tried! All I could wish for is to be able to leave a tip on my card. Ate at this food truck parked outside of the Long Island farm brewery. I would never recommend this to anyone. $12 for 20 fries that tasted freezer burned and $5 a taco that had 3 pieces of chicken that was also purchased in Bulk from Costco. I don't know why it is so drastically different from the reviews I've read for the actual establishment, but in terms of the food truck, I have been 100% ripped off. Go eat anywhere else and you get a better meal that's not off a Costco shelf and costs like a 5 star restaurant. More...

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Mattitaco was hired to cater a wedding this weekend (6/12/2021) and practically ghosted the entire job. They refused to answer or return calls the week leading up to the event. Come the night of the wedding and there's barely any food, no staff, and again no accountability or response from the company or any of their representatives. What kind of company would do something like that? How can you agree to cater an event and completely fail to fulfill your obligations? This company is the jerk store and they are their own best sellers. I'll never support, eat at, or use this company for anything. I can only hope someone considering using this company in the future will see this, because they might just not hold up their end of the bargain, refuse to respond to your calls and screw you over. On top of all of that they didn't even have an explanation or reason for not meeting their obligations. Great menu. Friendly staff. Took a long time, and all I ordered was one taco & plantains. For a $5 taco it was smaller than I expected, and not a lot in it. Ingredients were fresh and delicious, but the corn tortilla was cold and chewy. Sweet plaintains were piping hot and yummy. Taco was luke warm. I don't know what the bang is in the Bang Bang Taco, as it wasn't spicy at all. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Maybe an off day. Just found out about the horrible business failures this so called restaurant had while attempting to sweep their scandal under the rug of social media. I can't imagine ruining multiple wedding in one day! No showing to a wedding you have agreed to cater is just beyond low. And then to blame the customers themselves and blast it on social media. DO NOT USE MATTITACO!!! They stood up a bride on her wedding day. Leaving her and 100 of her guests with barely any food! He chose to throw an anniversary party for his own business that day instead. It is safe to say they have no professionalism. But what’s worse is what type of person are you where you can do that to somebody? How could you scam someone like that? Her one and only wedding day. I have never heard of a story like this ever in my life. It’s mortifying. To add insult to injury they are posting pics on their social media.. proving they have absolutely zero remorse. Bride is still yet to hear from him. Wow.. just wow. (I also would like to state that the workers on the food truck were completely set up for failure by the owner. They worked incredibly hard by basically being thrown into a complete mess. They did everything they could with the little to nothing the owner provided them with. Crappy to his employees too. My husband and I most recently hired Mattitaco to cater our wedding on June 5, 2021 and were once again blown away by the food! Everything was delicious and the staff was amazing, going far and beyond their job descriptions to ensure every last detail the day off went beautifully! We worked with Justin to develop a custom menu featuring our favorite local seasonal produce, tacos, and large format seafood paella and an assortment of smoked meats. We dined here last week for the first and were NOT disappointed! Staff was beyond friendly, and were able to answer any questions we asked about the menu. Ed was fantastic and was able to make suggestions since we both do not normally eat meat. Margaritas were fantastic, and we took one of their special Mexican lager cans to go. How Mattitaco can improve!? Is by going out of business!!! I'm making it my high priority to making sure they never do what they did on June 12th, 2021at my daughter's wedding! ! Ironically, they celebrated their 3-year Anniversary on the same day and it appears they couldn’t care less about catering the wedding they were hired (and compensated) for. NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE!!!!!! Wish I could give 0 stars. The food itself wasn't bad but the service was absolutely horrific. My friend contracted them to cater her wedding and they completely dropped the ball. The owner provided maybe a quarter of the food that was promised and sent few staff who had only been working a couple weeks for him. The food they did provide was not part of the negotiated contract at all. For cocktail hour, there were supposed to be 4 different kinds of tacos with different sides getting passed around but in stead we got crab cakes and cauliflower with some oysters (no sauce).... All of which were in very limited supply. For dinner, the planner had to go to the restaurant and get whatever food was there and find someone at the venue to prep it all since mattitaco never did anything. Find out the next day, he planned an anniversary party for himself the same day and never told anyone. He used all the food my friend payed for, for this party. DISGUSTING! Expensive; mediocre food that worst than Chipotle. Ordered a $19 pretax burrito and it came with 2 meats (lobster and meats, tho lack of lobsters and thanks for the extra shell that could have broken my teeth), some little guacamole, and iceberg lettuce (THAT'S IT? !? Totally delicious dishes. I had the lamb, the baltimore (crab cake), and the popcorn shrimp tocos and each was fantastic. Great ambiance indoors and outdoors, friendly and helpful staff. A definite must!

Meh.  Everything was fresh and looked delicious but was somehow very bland.  Prices were on par with what I would expect to pay, but have had much better tasting tacos.  Best thing I ate was the land and sea taco, because the chorizo was very good, but had maybe two shrimp, though I only recall seeing one.  Husband's burrito was bland, rice had no flavor.  LOADED plantains was just a drizzle of sauce, and some pickled onions.  Not upset we tried it, was hoping to find a great new taco joint, and was disappointed that this won't be it.  Oh well.
