I hired Matt to take an updated headshot for a new role I was starting and it was such a great experience! He made me feel comfortable throughout the shoot so it wasn't an "awkward smile" experience and the photo ended up looking very genuine. It was so easy working with Matt, his space was very welcoming and he makes the best jokes during the shoots.

Matt was the first person to call me in response to my reach out to a number of headshot photographers. I told him that I would get back to him after talking to two more options, but I didn't bother -- I could tell he would be great to work with.

And I was thrilled with the result! It worked because Matt is RELENTLESS! I'm like, OK, OK, enough already, but he kept circling on the solution, tweaking the lighting, adjusting the pose, and cueing different expressions. He shot for an hour. He is well organized, and his process is smooth from the prep for the session all the way through to his video on how to distill down to your top selects, and chose the final for retouching. And I got two crops each for the web digital files, and for print.

What I loved the most about working with Matt was his desire to get to know my essence. Before we started shooting, we sat for about 45 min and just talked about life. Matt captures those great poses in dance photography as well as great headshots. The most impressive thing about his photos is the fact that he can capture a mood and the character of his subjects. Matt is a wonderful photographer with a great personality! I’m not super comfortable in front of a camera and his skill set and general method of shooting both indoors and outdoors put me at ease! I have had 2 sessions with him and he is open to working with his clients with their own ideas, something not all photographers will do.
