Massart Photography

We couldn’t be happier about our choice to invest in Audrey and Seth as our wedding photographers. The only thing that makes this review difficult to write is trying to gather all of the positive adjectives running through my head to form a coherent thought right now. Jarred and I don’t love to be in front of the camera. In 14 years of dating we have only a handful of photos together. We really wanted to have a quality photographer document this special day, which is why we reached out to Audrey and Seth in the first place. We first met with them in January 2018. They probably thought we were weird - we were both kind of quiet and I was completely overwhelmed with the idea of planning a wedding. Thankfully they still took us on as clients! They took our engagement photos at Fort Adams and somehow made us look good. It must have been the coldest April day in Rhode Island history, too! Flash forward to the end of December, we lucked out with a sunny, 50 degree wedding day. The entire weekend is a blur of happiness for us. Our families raved about our choice of photographers before they even saw any photos because Audrey and Seth are kind, funny, and make you feel totally at ease. My husband and I cannot thank Audrey and Seth enough for the incredible job they did as our wedding photographers. If you are fortunate enough to work with them do so! They will be the MVP of your vendor list. Seth was thorough and prompt when answering all of my questions leading up to our big day, and even when we were almost 2 years out we always felt like a priority. By the time our wedding rolled around we felt completely confident that all our photography needs were taken care of. It was such a relief when they arrived because we knew we were in great hands and that they would manage our wedding party and timeline. Everyone else mentions in their reviews how comfortable Audrey and Seth make you feel which is something we can attest to 100%. As a bride or groom you will be grateful for anyone that can make you laugh or relax during the stressful moments throughout the day, which is something they were great at. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SETH & AUDREY!! Their work is unbelievable! They have photographed both my children from newborn years to toddler years. ..everyone compliments the photos all the time!! My husband and I look at the photos daily and it reminds us of how special the baby/newborn phase is!! They also are great with the kids and are able to work with them despite crying or being a miserable toddler!!! There are not enough stars in a rating system to truly reflect on Audrey and Seth’s work. We, although under undesirable circumstances, had the pleasure of meeting Audrey and Seth both. We were very pleased with the professionalism and respect we were shown as we had the only family photos we will ever have with our son Ethan, who was born sleeping after 21 weeks. My husband and I will be forever grateful for the time they took out of their evening to come to the hospital without warning after I delivered our son, as well as the time they spent making our only family photos perfect. Audrey and Seth are amazing! As soon as I met with them, I knew that I wanted them to be our wedding photographers! They are so down to earth and genuinely nice people! When it came time to do our engagement photos, they were so easy to work with and made us feel comfortable during the photo shoot! Seth is so funny and always made us laugh and Audrey is just the nicest person ever. On our wedding day I felt so comfortable knowing that they were the ones to capture our big day! Audrey and Seth are simply amazing! We did a Santa mini session at their studio with my 4 year old and the resulting photos were a dream. They were very engaging with my daughter and made her feel comfortable and happy. She was a little overwhelmed meeting Santa, but she warmed up quickly. I first saw Audrey's pictures a few years ago when a friend of mine shared one on Facebook. I thought the picture was beautiful, began going through her other pictures and fell in love. I thought if I ever get married I need to have Audrey for my photographer, and a few years later that dream came true. Seth was awesome to work with leading up the big day. He gave advice on locations, time of day, and the general set up to make sure we had the best pictures possible. He was super organized in making sure he had all the details and that I knew what to expect. On the day of our wedding they kept things moving with pictures, got all of the shots we asked for and then some. They are super nice and fun, and my husband who didn't want to spend any money on a photographer even said how great they were to work with and wished we could have hung out longer.

As for the pictures, they were all done and uploaded to our gallery before we even came back from our honeymoon, and they came out better than I ever imagined. When I show people our pictures the one question every single person asks is who is the photographer. They go on and on about how they don't look like 'normal' wedding photos, and the photographer is really talented. Everyone says how beautiful the pictures are, and that they look like art, or like they belong in a bridal magazine. The only downside is I love so many of them I can't decide which ones to print.

I would highly recommend using Audrey and Seth, we will definitely be using them again in the future. More...

For people who love photography, choosing someone to capture your special day can be one of the hardest things you do. Within minutes of meeting Seth and Audrey, we knew! We were immediately joking and talking like we were old friends. But let's talk about their work, truly elegant! There is a softness within every picture that is captured. They are just beautiful moments. The two of them work together amazingly well and you might even catch a "babe" once or twice! Seth is even an expert at avoiding golf balls while trying to capture just the right shot. They truly listened to what we wanted from our day. On our wedding day, we had a massive thunderstorm and wanted to toss out our original plan of photographing each of us getting ready to go straight to the place to grab as much as we could in the nice weather. This review should have been done years ago shame on us for not saying something sooner! Our relationship with massart photography started back in 2013 in Oct we met with Audrey and Seth about our wedding. We had met with one other photographer at that point.We immediately felt comfortable with them and booked our wedding that day! There was just something about them making us comfortable and Audrey's work is amazing. We had an amazing engagement session and fast forward to our wedding in Aug 2014. Our pictures were perfect! They made us comfortable and through the evening u didnt even know they were there. They captured our day perfectly.If u know me and my husband at all u know we hate having our picture taken and that day we didn't! Fast forward again to Aug of this year once again we decided to do pictures of our daughter in a newborn session.I was nervous I am new mom and all I could think of was how comfortable will she be will she fuss what if she needs to eat etc... Well they made the day so easy and were so great with her and it was such a relaxing day actually. They took there time and if she needed something we took a break. The pictures are perfect I can't even express my gratitude enough for them capturing our daughter and family. The work is amazing and they are worth it. The best thing about them is they make you feel like family not just another Customer which is hard to come by.That is what makes them so special. I have loved the work of Massart Photography from the first time I saw their work. Their style is soft and romantic. I recently had the opportunity to work with them by helping a couple who's wedding day photos were all but ruined by a rainstorm and faulty transportation for their day. We supplied some beautiful silk arrangements and Massart worked their magic to give the couple some beautiful wedding photos. This was a beautiful gesture, and a true reflection for us that Massart truly cares about their clients. The photos turned out incredibly beautiful and the couple now has great photos of themselves to keep, and the memories of the kindness surrounding them on their day! I was a customer before I got lucky enough to work for Seth and Audrey and their work is gorgeous! Even better than that, the entire experience of having a session with them is so easy. Seth completely takes over as soon as you walk into their studio and entertains the kids. I fell in love with Massart Photography's style long before I became pregnant so when it came time to consider maternity photos, I knew I wanted Massart to capture the special time. Audrey and Seth are truly a dynamic duo. Kind, respectful, and talented... we met with them in August of 2016 for our maternity session and felt completely comfortable and confident. The images captured were amazing! Our son was born in September of 2016 and we visited Audrey and Seth for his newborn photos shortly thereafter. My husband and I were in complete awe of how gentle they were with Karter and how comfortable he was with them. Their experience in photography and setting the stage for a perfect photo really shows. Massart deserves more than 5 stars. Seth and Audrey, the lovely married couple and owners are the coolest. It is SO important to have a good relationship with your photographer who is trust worthy. Seth and Audrey were booked for my wedding, but I got to work with their back up photographer, NICK. Audrey did my boudoir shoot and NICK shot our wedding. Audrey made me super comfortable and she's amazing at editing. Nick was my saving grace the day of the wedding. I was so sad when he had to leave at the end of the night. NICK was extremely professional and made me feel very comfortable. Your photographer can be great at taking photos, but the half of it is working with someone who is respectful and calming. I highly recommend investing in Massart Photography. Seth and Audrey photographed my wedding on October 27th,2017 at the Atlantic Resort in Middletown, RI and their level of professionalism and talent cannot be matched. When my husband Tom and I first met Seth and Audrey, I knew we needed to work with them. Their photos are not only beautiful but capture both the big and little moments during a wedding. Their passion for what they do was clear in that first meeting. Leading up to the wedding, we were in frequent communication and Seth and Audrey were always quick to answer any questions I had. Despite the fact that I am a teacher, I am not always the most organized- and Seth and Audrey helped me create a timeline for the wedding day as well as a list of formals, to be sure nothing was missed. I felt so relaxed leading up to the wedding day, knowing that we were in good hands! On the day of the wedding, I loved how they were able to give me advice when I needed it- but also blended into the background in a way that made my photos so natural. They kept us to the schedule we needed to ensure we had photos before sundown, not an easy task for a late October wedding. Tom said that Seth had his suit laid out for him when he hopped out of the shower (since he was probably running late per usual!). They drove me down the road to meet Tom for our first look in their car complete with granola bars and waters (like an Uber!). They kept a dialogue going with us and made us laugh. I knew as soon as I saw Seth and Audrey's work that they had to be our wedding photographers! (Like, booked them over a year in advance kind of OMG will you be my photographer? !)
I love how well they manipulate light ...their bridal portraits, I mean come on!! They are so classic and timeless and gorgeous.

And when you view their portfolio you will see all different types of lighting captured beautifully- everything from harsh sunlight to dark and cloudy to dimly lit church ceremonies.. I know whatever our wedding day gives us weather-wise/lighting-wise we will be in good hands and that's HUGE for me!

The other thing I love about them is their eye for leading lines and just how they use the environment to really frame things in general. They have a vision and it shows!

And finally, their ability to capture pure emotion. The candid moments. They are so genuine and beautiful. It's hard to find a photographer who nails all of those things. Trust me, I viewed a lot of portfolios! LOL

For our engagement session I was so nervous. I had never had professional photos taken, but they made it so fun. Even my fiancé had a good time (and lets face it, how many guys' cup of teas is a photo session?!) But the way they engage with you and keep things light, it just feels like your hanging out with a couple of friends. And they are so cool to watch work together, too. They have really awesome chemistry and I'm 99% sure they read each others minds, too. They just work so in synch.

Our engagement photos were amazing! I love every single one so much. It's impossible to choose a favorite! I was seriously so blown away by them all!

I highly recommend Massart Photography to anyone looking to have amazing pictures done. They are very accommodating and did a fantastic job with every piece of capturing our special day. We used them for our engagement session, full wedding day, and boudoir photos. Everything about all of the pictures we have are simply perfect. We will cherish the photos for the rest of our lives. My friends and family were so impressed with the overall final product that they were begging for copies for themselves! Audrey and Seth were always so friendly and easy to work with.
