I've only been here one time. The food that I got was fresh! The mashed potatoes were wonderful! And there was a wide variety of items to choose from. I would go back. And I would highly recommend! More...

My dad has been bragging on this spot for months. Today I was able to experience Ms. Margaret's myself. From the time you walk in you feel like family. It's buffet but they fix your plate how you want it.The food: true southern cooking. It's Paula Dean in Conway just better!! Fried Chicken, baked chicken, Lima beans, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, I highly recommend the all. If you want a true southern meal with all the hospitality visit this quaint establishment. Oh , the price- $9.99 weekdays and $12.99 weekends. Treat yourself , you will thank me. More...

I tried this place when it first opened, and I was not impressed. I went back months later, and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the food! They fix the food for you for approximately $12, but it is all you can eat (two plates was all I could handle). They have coke soda products from a fountain machine. I meant to ask if any bread was available because a piece bread is important for any good meal. The food was very flavorful. As soon as I was going to ask if there was any dessert, one of the staff came around asking if anyone wanted banana pudding. The banana pudding was brought out in a little container and it was tasty! I could have eaten a second cup if I wasn't so stuffed. The staff was friendly and attentive to the customer's needs. I will definitely give Margaret's another chance to have a good option for dinner. I am also interested in trying the seafood night selections. More...

The food was amazing and service was great. This is now on my short list when I come through Conway every couple of weeks. Mac and cheese exactly as it should be, green beans nicely seasoned.  Nice gem of a local place. More...

Also, shout out to Ms. Michelle for brightening up my day... More...

We actually were just making a bathroom stop before we got into MB traffic beyond Conway. Were going to pop in and out of Subway, but noticed Ms Margaret's. I thought it would be rude to use the facilities without buying something, so we decided to get a to-go plate for later, since we had had a late breakfast starting out from Charlotte. My husband asked for just a pork chop sandwich, and ended up with 2 nice sized pork chops, 4 slices of light bread, mac and cheese, potato salad and sweet potato pie - and a cup of ice water! I asked for the shrimp, since they looked nice sized on the hot bar, and was rewarded with 10 freshly fried shrimp with the aforementioned sides, etc. Shrimp was very well seasoned and tasted fresh. We may have to make this a regular stop on our way to the beach.... More...

Newly opened soul food restaurant off of Church st right before Lake Busby Bridge. This building has been a cpl of different eating spots prior and sits at a precarious angle which can make it hard to get in and out. Best choice is to turn on to 4th ave and enter from that side. Great spot to stop on the way to and from the beach since it's right on the corner of Hwy 501 and 4th Ave, Conway. It was a full house when I went in and everybody was busy cooking, cleaning, greeting, serving, and otherwise making us all feel welcome. They serve cafeteria style so I got fried Flounder, mashed potatoes w gravy, corn, green beans, a roll, and peach cobbler. They also had fried shrimp, chicken wings, grits, cornbread, stewed tomatoes, baked beans and probably more that I don't even know about! The only thing I was disappointed in was the choice of vegetables. I wish more green vegetables and maybe a meat not fried. There were some empty containers and they may have sold out of some things before I got there. It was after 1:30pm and the parking lot was still completely full and more people trying to get in. This is also only the 3rd day open! The Flounder was very good and fried crisp on the outside and very flaky on the inside.  It was just like going to a family reunion or a summer back yard celebration. Good ol southern cookn! The peach cobbler was just like grandmas, all I needed was some ice cream!  The last draw back was the cost for quantity. For 1 starch, 1 meat, 2 veg, a roll and cobbler with a tea was just over $12. I say that more because of the portion sizes than anything. It sounds like a full plate of food but take away cobbler and it really was on the light side. I wish Ms Margaret's Soul Food great success!!Sweet tea report: On point! More...
