November 20th was my first visit to downtown Bistro and I was definitely pleased not only with the quality of the meals but also the customer service. This restaurant serves fresh food, farm to table and can customize your order. They have a great menu and you can also choose to alter the side dishes even add some that may not be listed as sides. Lovely atmosphere, great location in Downtown next to a small park. Food was delicious. Cream of mushroom soup, one of their specialities, was think, creamy, mushrooms, and tasty. Highly recommend.

Went to the Downtown Bistro tonight for our anniversary dinner. Everything was very good and our server, Jordan was very nice and attentive and gave us some good food suggestions. We had the stuffed mushrooms appetizer. Wow! Those might have been our favorite thing we had - they were so good!We tried their homemade mushroom soup. It was also very good. One dish was the shrimp and scallop linguine. It was very good. The shrimp and scallops were done just right and there were green and red peppers and some mild sweet onions. It came with a nice salad with field greens, carrots, tomato, and cucumber. We chose the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. They do have some dressings they make in house, but this was not one of them. It also came with a piece of garlic toast. The other dish was a 20 oz new York strip steak with broccoli and red potatoes. This dish was also very good. The broccoli could have just a bit more cooked to our liking. My husband and I were visiting the area and had dinner here for our anniversary. Everything was great the ribs were fall off the bone delicious and my husband’s grouper was cooked to perfection with excellent flavor. Our waiter Holden, was friendly, efficient and hustled. The outside patio was a great space with huge umbrellas to keep us shaded. We met the owners/chefs and they were gracious and gave us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary.
