Went there for a youth hockey game today, the whole place was nice, clean, well lit, and the food bar (Mary’s, I think) was delicious! Fresh, good food and friendly service, with great pricing! Would definitely go back if we lived close! More...

Blades of Glory meets Roller Derpy. After two training sessions of roller skate experience in human life, it was time for day three test with an icey landscape. Remembering the training, glide like a stingray, shift side to side like a slow motion twerker, fall dramatically like a soldier. All this physical exertion inside the giant oval frigerator with teenage BO freon to heighten your youthful soul. It was a physics exam without the papers and it was a passing grade without the letters. There maybe some points deducted for physical contact with the rink, but due to unreliable witnesses, one cannot confirm or deny the existance of such events. What can be confirmed are anecdotal evidences of lapping, skate strapping, musical blares, good foods, and that one stupid kid who always makes everyone in the room look inferior (for comparison, use Carmelita from A Series of Unfortunate Events). Fun fun fun!Of course at Christmas ice skating is a must. And even with the large number of people on the ice it didn't seem too crowded. They piped in awesome Xmas music to make the mood festive. For the price, this is a great way to spend time with friends and family. Choose from figure or hockey skates. And be warned, no 1/2 sizes. The sizes run small, but skates should be tight.Toward the end of the open-skate period the ice was getting a little choppy. So if you're nervous about your skating skills, get they're early before the ice gets ripped up and bumpy. More...

I went here with a Groupon and wasn't expecting much more than the average roller skating experience. Â I was really surprised in a great way. Â The front counter ticket person took the groupon with a smile and welcomed me and was friendly and nice. Â She told me where to get skates and where to charge my phone. Â The guy doing the rental skates was AWESOME. Â He was quite a character and made the experience so much fun. Â He gave great advice and lots of amusement and was entertaining. Â The ice was cold and hard, which I think is the goal, and the music was good. Â We had almost 2 hours of fun. Â It was a good time. Â I left with a smile. More...

Open skating from 8-10p on Saturdays. It's a fun activity if you don't have anything else to do. I don't know how much skate rentals are at other places so I can't compare. Skaters appear to be multi level so you won't feel insecure. The facility is clean and well kept and organized. The only suggestion I have is to please add some lighting at the entrance as the building is tucked away in a corner. More...

I got the groupon for this, and i loved it! so worth it. Their skates are not cheap and the ice rink is big. I live in seattle, and drove all the way to lynwood for this, and i think it's so worth it, i'd def come again. The only bad thing i guess is their front desk is small, so if there's a big crowd it gets stuffy in the front, but once you're in it's big! there's bleachers for people who aren't skating and skate rentals are downstairs. I liked this facility, they re-do the ice often too so it's not all nasty and icy. I also like the skates they let you rent, they're not cheap like the ones in downtown bellevue, was not disappointed at all! More...

After looking around on where to celebrate my daughter's 5th birthday party, we finally settled on this venue and I'm glad we did! I have been looking around for a venue for quite some time but everything seems to be so expensive! I love how relaxed this place is. BIRTHDAY PACKAGE: I paid $109 for the basic package. $109 for up to 8 kids (including the bday kid) to skate with rentals, chaperons are free, they will set up the table with table cover and balloons AND YOU CAN BRING YOUR OWN FOOD! No other venue does that! Everyone had a lot of fun! FACILITY: The facility is big and clean including the restrooms. We got a nice party table directly in front of the huge glass window overlooking the huge ice rink. I have not been to this place before and took a chance of booking without even seeing the venue and I wore a dress too but brought my down jacket, prepared to freeze my butt off but surprisingly, the ice rink is separated from where the rented tables are! Which I really liked! All my mom guests are pleased and recommended them for their next party! I wouldn't mind throwing an adult birthday party here as well! My daughter had a lot of fun! It was overall a wonderful and stress free experience! :) More...

Compared to Olympic View (in Mountlake Terrace) the Lynnwood Ice Center looks rather dated and stale. Â However, the quality of instruction is great for beginners and I've heard many state that the skaters are better and more courteous in Lynnwood than at Comcast in Everett. Â True, the rink is in need of another makeover (the last upgrade was in '95 or so, and it was mostly a lobby remodel). Â The actual arena is ancient, with original wooden bleachers and insulation. I have been coming to LIC for 8 years through Seattle Junior Hockey. The rink is good, deli on site. Just wish they would turn on the freaking heaters once in a while. In 8 years I have never one time seem them on? What's up with that? Put a coin machine to pay for it. I know at 7:00 am on a Saturday I would gladly pay for a little heat!! More...

Not a bad little rink here in Lynnwood. I've been here before to watch hockey scrimages, and the arena can be a little cold when you're not moving around. (Well, dur, it's an ice rink.) It's clean and obviously well kept.I went with Kaarin on a weekday and it was absolutely empty. Which for us, was a great thing. There were a couple of casual skaters, as well as a few young girls doing private lessons. The ice was smooth and not rippled or bumpy like I've had at other arenas. Staff was mostly accommodating, though the guy at the skate counter was a little cranky. I'm not a very good ice skater, so we didn't stick around too long, but it was a nice diversion for a little while on a hot day. More...

If you're a good skater, don't go to Lynnwood Ice Center. You'll get frustrated with all the people taking pictures on the ice, kids falling down, and lack of people who actually know how to skate. If you really want to enjoy yourself make a trip out to Everett. The only thing good I'll say about this place is they host a good friday night and have a lot of free-skate times. Great for kids!!! I don't ice skate. Â I kinda just hang on to the wall and hope for the best. Â Hey, Â I've only been three times in my life, but I'm trying so I guess that counts for something. Â Anyway, this place is very nice! Â The have discount skate hours which means it only costs $8 Â (for ice time and skate rentals) for me to fall on my butt and make a fool of myself! My nephew is a Rink Rat (he's learning to play ice hockey) and has his games here. Â It's great fun to watch a bunch of 6 year olds try to play hockey. Â Sidney Crosby they are not! Â As an adult spectator, this ice rink is easy to get to, there is plenty of parking, and plenty of seating. Â Overall a very cool place. Â (Sorry for the pun!) More...

A good sheet of ice and great seats. Â This is another in the long line of great ice rinks in the Seattle area. Â The drawback to this rink is pretty evident, it's far, it's dark and sometimes it's hard to find. Â But that's sort of its charm too. Â A hidden little rink in the middle of no where. While I've only skated on it a few times, the ice has always been fairly decent. Â Nothing that blew me away but still good after some hard skates. Â I have watched a bunch of games here though and love the concrete stadium style here. Â Bring a blanket or prepare to be cold. It's a lot like the OlympicView Arena probably because they are owned by the same people. Â And that facility is run rather well. Â So I'm sure they care for this one in a similar fashion.Oh yeah, watch for the speed bumps! More...

Worth a drive from Seattle if you want to skate in superior surroundings. They did a huge renovation - it used to be the Sno-King - and the ice is perfect. You can get food here and sip an espresso while looking down through windows at the skaters on the level below. My niece's birthday party in their private birthday room was total fun and the bumpers and rails make a not too hard landing for novices who have to stop by hitting the wall. There's plenty of staff around to help even if they haven't been trained in superior customer service skills. You might have to try a couple of times to find halfway comfortable skates (just the way that works) but even when it's crowded it's a good place to skate. More...
