What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy the new interactions that I have with clients and their pets. I have been around all types of animals since I was young being raised on a farm in Minnesota. It's like having grandkids. You throughly enjoy spending time with them, and they become your surrogate "kids" for a time until Mom and Dad return.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had been driving tractor-trailer for many years and decided to get off the road and return to school to learn word processing.
I went to work in Corporate America, but I entered at at time when all the mergers, lay-off's and downsizing in the companies began. It seemed like every 6 months I was looking for another job.
I decided that I needed to DO SOMETHING FOR MYSELF, to depend on myself only.
I was looking in the classified's in Sunday's paper and there was a small want ad that said "PT Petsitter. East Valley. Earn $18,000.00 a year.
I decide that was what I wanted to do as a job.
I bought business cards and put them out at groomers, vet clinics, grocery stores, etc.
It started as a part-time job while worked other jobs. And now, it's ALL I do as a full-time job.

I am a pro-active pet sitter and watch for signs that your dogs may become ill while you are away and alert you if I become suspicious of something going on.
I have always been a compasionate, caring animal advocate and treat your pets like I do my very own.
