Wonderful experience! We never worried about Rufus, our ShihTzu. We scheduled every other day walks and exercise. They sent pics as texts. They fed him as explained with his special diet. After spending time researching kennels in Springfield, I found Lucky Mutz. What really drew me to Lucky Mutz was the fact that the owners live on the property. I couldn't imagine leaving my baby at a kennel where no one would be there around the clock in case of an emergency. I made an unplanned visit and was greeted warmly by Susan, she explained everything about the kennel, showed me the facilities and I was sold! We boarded our dog here for the first time last week and she loved it! The staff is friendly, price is reasonable, and I know our girl was well cared for! She is a rescue so I was a little worried about how she would handle a kennel but, she did great! I was texted pictures of her every day she was there, an added plus for sure! I wouldn’t let our animals stay anywhere but Lucky Mutz! Susan and her team are absolutely wonderful and do everything they can to make our dog’s stay great. We get frequent updates (which we love because our dog is very anxious) and photos. We also appreciate the extras they offer to make our dogs stay more comfortable!! The quality time my wife and I have with one another when we go out of town, is all because of this wonderful facility. I always bring our dogs here when we go out of town. We have 2 Great Pyrenees and the girl really has trouble with claustrophobia so she is a handful . Lucky Mutz does such a wonderful job she comes back better every time. The grooming is amazing. And I haven’t found a better price at any other kennel anywhere. Lucky Muttz is the only place we will board our sweet Norman. From the second you step foot in the door, your pet is treated like a special guest. The climate-controlled kennel makes it comfy for dogs like Norm who hate the heat, but they also get to enjoy plenty of time outside in the runs and play yard. While you’re away, Susan and staff make sure you get updates on how your pup is doing and even post or send pictures. Add on a grooming session and it’s absolutely perfect— you come home to a happy, clean, freshly groomed pet. We also love that they have plenty of big-dog experience. That can be an issue with a 120 pound Newfoundland, but not here. I have total peace of mind leaving him with the loving folks at Lucky Muttz. Lucky Mutz took fabulous care of my fur babies! Susan and her team payed specific attention to my babies and gave them much love! The entire facility is as clean as a whistle! My babies enjoyed play time in their huge play yard. My 150 lb. Great Pyrenees, Teddy Roosevelt, appreciated the AC and a personal fan that was placed directly on him. Highly recommend Lucky Mutz Pet Resort. They have affordable boarding prices and easy scheduling... as well as a very clean facility for boarding, bathing and grooming. I was impressed with the exit bath and bandanna given to my German Shepard by the friendly staff before we picked him up to come home from vacation. I left my little Katie there while I went to Florida last week. They took very good care of her and I feel they treat her as if she belonged to them. I can relax and enjoy myself while I am away because I know Katie is well taken care of. Susan and her team always take great care of our pups! Both Izzy and Bigly have a great time staying at Lucky Mutz while we are away. Izzy has anxiety about being in confined spaces so kennels are tough for her but the staff at Lucky Mutz knows her and makes sure she is as comfortable as possible. We really appreciated the care that Susan provided for our aging dog while we were out of town. We had not boarded animals before and didn't want to start. Not only did she take care of basic needs, but Susan also recognized that Sophie needed to be seen by our vet. She ensured that our dog received the medical attention she needed.
