There are several questions I will ask a client when starting on their photography project.. Im going to share this information in great depth and detail based on the experience I have gained over the 5 years and what I feel works best. Three main questions are whats the customers vision for their photography project, the second question would be have you researched my online profile information, and the last question would be are you willing to provide me with your contact number so we can talk more into details about the event. Im going to break each question down into great detail to help you get a better understanding of the subject.

The first question I would like the customer to answer is knowing what photography vision you want from me as their wedding photographer. Think about what particular shots you want taken at the wedding and specific poses. Remember, this is your event so you should have everything your way. Write down a plan of action and ideas to discuss with the photographer once you begin communicating with the individual. For example, you may want and like a specific set of pictures taken with a specific set of people. I once had a bride give me a picture of how she would like her exit reception picture to look and once that moment occurred on the wedding day, I was able to capture that same exact pose because she gave me her vision ahead of time. My point is to know what you want, write it down and be ready to share it with your photographer upon communicating with them.

Second question I would like to know is if the client has taken the time to research my online information. Now, in this day and age of technology, most people looking for a wedding photographer are searching online at websites. Researching my profile entirely and in great depth will help give you a better understanding as to who I am as a wedding photographer. There are so many things I love about wedding photographer that its hard to mention everything, so Im going to share my top three things that I love about photography the most. The three that top the list include the people, the event, and the overall experience.

First allow me to touch bases on the first thing that I love about photography which is the people involved in the event. I love to see people having a good time and enjoying themselves at their special event. For instance, when I photograph a wedding, I love working with the bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girl, and ring bearer. Everyone's so excited about the day and I am so inspired by the energy that they bring to the day. The people are so cooperative with the process of having their pictures taken and their will to smile and pose for the camera. I once did a wedding where the wedding bridal party followed me around the venue to different locations such as lakes and fountains to take pictures. At the end of the day the pictures turned out amazing thanks to the combined effort of the wedding party.

The next thing that I love the most about my job is the event Im photographing itself. The events I photograph are fun and exciting. The venues I take pictures of are decorated so beautifully. Each venue and events decorated differently depending on the vision of the bride. For example, I love the way the wedding venues are furnished with flowers, and lights. I once photographed a wedding venue that had the most beautiful wedding arch in the ceremony area. It was tall, white, and decorated with flowers and fruit. This arch really made for amazing family formal pictures for the bride and groom. I get the opportunity to visit a wide variety of events and each event has its own unique venue decor. I really love this part of being a photographer.

The last and final thing I love about being a photographer is the overall experience of the event. I have had the opportunity to photograph and experience so many different types of events and meet so many types of different people. For example, I have worked with Latin, Jewish, Asian, Caucasian, African American, and more. I have traveled all over the country from North Carolina to Virginia and more. Meeting so many different people, and traveling to different locations has given me some of the best photography experiences. I look forward to continue travelling and meeting more people and different types of cultures and traditions. I love every part of these adventurous photography experiences.

The thing that inspired me most to start my own business is freedom. I enjoy the freedom of being my own boss which makes me more flexible to my clients needs. For example, Im able to provide discounts to customers because I have the freedom of choice to set my own budget around what the clients able to afford.

The last and final reason that will influence clients to hire me is because of my excellent customer service skills. I have a compassion and understanding of a wide variety of people and their cultures and traditions. I believe the customers a very important part of the photography process because without the people, there no subjects to capture. For example, I prefer photographing people versus photographing landscapes and buildings. Before I got my photography business started I spent sometime in customer service and this experience helped me gain a few very important customer service skill which include patience and flexibility. For example, I once photographed a wedding that didnt quite start on time because the bride was running a little late but I still remained patient. At the end of the night the bride asked me if I could be flexible and stay a little later to capture the last dance and sparkle send off moment. I agreed to stay past the appointed time and as a result, I was greatly rewarded by the bride with a nice review and extra tip.
