The last 2 times I brought my dog for boarding I brought days worth of extra food in individual cans and bags of snacks. When I pick up my dog they do not return the extra food. They said "he ate it". I told them they are them over feeding my dogs and they say we will look into it. I question if it id going into community food and what he is being feed. More...

Oh my gosh! I was so nervous when I dropped off my thirteen year old bichon for a grooming. She had been going to the same facility for seven years. When her original groomer left no one else seemed to be able to work with her. It was quite frustrating. I had been with Lone Star before but switch to a facility closer to home. I was so happy when I picked up my “puppy” I wanted to cry. She was groomed perfectly and the groomer was accustomed to working with older dogs. We recently moved from Portland to Houston. While looking for a home for our family we wanted to make sure our baby boy Jake (black lab/Australian Shepherd mix) will be taken care off so we can have the opportunity to find the perfect place. Everyone at Lone Star was not only responsive, caring and considerate, but their attention to detail was what confirmed for us our baby is in great hands. My dog Indie has been coming here weekly for Doggy Daycare for more than 2 years. She loves it at Lone Star and nudges me to get out of the car. When we get to the front desk she immediately requests a belly rub. After a day of daycare, she is always pleasantly tired. My pets have been going here for almost ten years - all my pets try to jump out of the car to go in when they get close to turning in! !! They have always been treated great and so have I. Lone Star management has also worked with me thru very trying times from family illness to weather damage to a fence to insure I had care for my beloved pets. I have used their boarding, board and train, training, day care, transportation and grooming and I’ve been pleased with all services. I have an Australian Shepherd puppy that needed group daycare to burn some energy and training to challenge his eagerness to learn. After checking out 3 other companies I choose Lone Star in January 2019. Besides treating each dog like their own, the driving difference was having both indoor and outdoor facilities, on-site training, and on-site grooming. My dog Jonah had his 1st visit to LSPL this past week. I received a call a day before I was to pick him up saying he was vomiting and had diarrhea. He was not eating the food and always vomits when he has not eaten. LSPL went to the store and got him his normal food to which he happily ate and quickly was on the mend. He has been home now a few days and is doing great. They sent him a care package along with a get well card! THANK YOU LSPL for going above and beyond. We will be back! More...
