Great place to volunteer. The riders are wonderful and seeing their progress is amazing. Just being there around all the horses is very therapeutic for me and I’m sure everyone else. I’ve learned a lot while volunteering and am grateful for the experience. More...

I came here for a tour about the facility, but if the services are even a smidgen of greatness like our tour guide it must be awesome for those needing to be here. Â They offer riding lessons for the disabled but it's focused on helping to strengthen bodies. Â And probably souls b/c those horses were darn cute and personable! Â Two covered riding areas, an outdoor nature trail(old race track). Â Lots of horses that enjoy doing this awesome job. Â We were impressed with what we saw. More...

This is truly a wonderful place. Â My daughter has been through countless therapies and this is one of the few places where I saw dramatic results. After four months of hippotherapy, we saw her walking without falling on uneven surfaces, even the beach! Â We skipped hippotherapy for a year when she was in kindergarten- she was consistently not able to walk on a balance beam for almost a year, which was a goal on her IEP. Â We eventually returned when Saturday lessons became available. Â After a lesson or two, she walked perfectly on the balance beam without falling! We have been coming here for almost 7 years since she was old enough to ride. Â Luckily, our PT advised us when our daughter was 6 months old to place her on the waitlist here so that when she would be old enough to ride, she could get off the waitlist (it was a 2 year wait!). Beyond impressed. What an inspiration and a true asset to the community. Â Little Bit provides a space and opportunity to people of all ages to benefit from therapy through the physical, psychological and emotional work with horses. Â I got the opportunity to volunteer here through my employer and got to meet with several members of the staff including the volunteer manager. Â Everyone working there is truly passionate about the mission of this establishment, it's contagious. Â The horses all appeared happy and content, as if they knew that they were serving a greater purpose. The energy here is calm and peaceful. You can completely disconnect from the outside world and be in the present moment. Volunteers are always needed as they rely heavily on the time and contributions of others and there are countless ways to help. Â Perhaps you'd like to be a side walker, helping support a rider as they are led around the arena or track, someone who exercises the horses, or maybe someone who does more behind the scenes work by taking care of the stalls (mucking of course) and/or the paddocks. So proud to have this in my community. Check it out. More...

Little Bit is a great organization that changes lives every day. The bond a rider forms with a horse is incredible. As is watching riders make breakthroughs in their riding skill and physical or mental health. I am so happy that I get the opportunity to see this growth first hand as a volunteer. More...
