Kaia is such a joy to work with! I've used her for both my engagement photos and boudoir photos so far and am happy with both experiences. She really makes you feel at ease and comfortable which isn't always the easiest when you are being photographed. She takes the time to get to know you which I love because it makes it feel like a friendship instead of a business arrangement. Kaia did everything she could to make our experience, during and after the shoot, totally amazing. She runs her business with excellent communication and professionalism. These days, its hard to find someone who treats me like they truly appreciate my business and she really provided that sense of "anything else I can do". I really liked that Kaia kept lines of communicate open through my busy work week and kindly reached out via text and email to remind me of upcoming dates and payments. Also, I'm not too computer savvy and she took extra time to help me with the ordering process. She can relate to my motherly schedule and knows how to work with the tantrums of a two year old. We love working with Kaia!! We hired her for both our wedding and then family photos for our first anniversary. She was incredibly profession, flexible, willing to try new things and so fun to work with. I'm pretty self conscious about my body, and she always makes me feel and look beautiful. She has also successfully gotten a real genuine smile out of my husband and both my brothers who do not smile for pictures. Kaia was our birth photographer for your son’s birth. She was so easy to work with leading up to the event, maintaining open communication and answering any and all questions we had in a timely manner. The night of our son’s birth Kaia was easy to reach and she arrived promptly. I was not sure what to expect as this was the first time working with a birth photographer, but Kaia was beyond great. I was aware she was there, but she did not do anything that distracted from the task at hand. We promptly received the edited images and I was so pleased with the result. Absolutely beautiful imagines that I will cherish forever. The images take me right back to the day of my son’s arrival and she captured beautiful moments including our daughter meeting her brother and our first moments as a family of four. This has been our third time working with Kaia and every experience has been incredible! Kaia spends intentional time getting to know her clients and their specific needs and wants for what they want captured. She listens and is sincere throughout her communication process. She is easily accessible and makes sure to get in touch with you. More than anything during the photo shoot she makes you feel comfortable. You feel like you've known her for a long time and conversation feels natural. I absolutely love her organic approach and her eye to find beauty in the most unusual places. She is a tremendously talented artist who's work speaks loud and clear for itself. The quality of photos is top notch and once you see what she was able to capture with natural light, color and texture you will be astounded at how your perspective of what you see around you changes. Amazing photographer! Kaia was perfect for our wedding, and honestly I think she would be perfect for any wedding. Her photography style is beautiful, and she is laid-back, yet she still got all of the photographs that we wanted. Do not hesitate to work with her!

Kaia Calhoun, of A Sunshine Moment Photography,was an absolute joy to work with during the process of our engagement and wedding photography! Her warm smile, and cheery disposition provided an environment to brainstorm ideas and she gave us wonderful insights into what we could do during our sessions. Ms. Calhoun was very prompt in her responsiveness in communicating the process and scheduling. We also thought that we got so much bang for our buck. Ms. Calhoun offered competitive prices and offered us services and products that many other photographers we were looking at did not offer. After viewing A Sunshine Moment's wedding portfolio, I fell in love with the pictures I was seeing. Kaia's work is unique and customized to the ones she is photographing. She strives to understand her client and their personality and bring out the best in both. A Sunshine Moment brings a sense of compassion and professionalism that makes the photography session go smoothly. As I had anticipated, I was a bit of an emotional mess the day of my wedding. On the top of my list of concerns, was that the photos would turn out well. Kaia's kind reassurance of sharing a couple shots with me and reminder that we were still "on schedule," helped me feel at ease and showcased her experience and care. Her agenda on the wedding day is exclusively focused on obtaining and delivering excellent photos to the newlyweds. Kaia definitely went the extra mile for us- she helped coordinate a schedule, she listened to our concerns and vision for our pictures, and followed us outside (TWICE!) after being asked to take "just a few more shots" with a particular backdrop.
