Working with Kellen and his team is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. I was stuck in a pretty big rut and felt pretty low on myself. I was talking to a friend of mine that started working with Kellen and had tremendous results. His energy, mental clarity, fat loss and muscle gain had him feeling the best he ever felt. That is what I was looking for, but I wasn’t really motivated to work out. I took his advice and met with Kellen and everything changed that day. He hadn’t even worked out with me, but had me believing in myself and explained the whole path that he planned on taking me on. The team has pushed me to the limit with motivational support while at the gym and Kellen checks in with me everyday to make sure I’m feeling ok and staying on my food program. It’s almost three months later and I’m down 14 pounds and the muscle increase is tremendous. My energy level is higher than I can remember it ever being.Kellen really takes the time to work with the individual. He picked the perfect business name. Highly recommend Kellen! If you want to get in the best shape of your life and truly workout smarter (not necessarily harder), you HAVE to contact this guy! He is THE best. Period. He gets nutrition and fitness, which are both critical for progress and meeting your goals. After having my first child, I put in far more time at the gym and never achieved the results I have achieved with Kellen in the last five months. I have always liked to exercise but between working and having 3 kids sometimes it’s hard to fit in. I love that with Kellen’s personalized plan I can work out when it’s convenient for me or even with my boys exercising with me! Working out with Kellen was awesome. You can’t get the kind of training he offers just anywhere. Sure you can get a random person to help you but you won’t get the direction and commitment Kellen offers. I worked out with him for a year and I went from having muscle in 1-2 spots to having muscle all over, and I can see and feel it! His dedication to you as a person is what matters. It took me months to find a personal trainer in Winston-Salem. When I finally found Kellen and Just For You Fitness, it was the perfect fit for me. I travel for work 3-4 days most week, and Kellen not only designs my workouts with him when I'm home, but he tailors them for when I travel as well, and they're easily accessible via his app. He is incredibly professional and encouraging, both in and out of the gym. He's worked around any muscle tweaks, vertigo, etc... that I've had -- In the past, I've had trainers get too pushy, and I've ended up in worse shape. He's pleasant to work with, and I would highly recommend him to anyone in any shape. My only complaint is that I'm not home enough to get more workouts in with him! More...

Kellen literally helped me to the top of my mountain. Thanks to his constant support and humor, eating suggestions, and the willingness to hold me accountable (even on the bike of doom), I made a successful summit of Mt. Rainier on May 8th!!As a young professional, big gyms can be overwhelming and a struggle at times. Just You Fitness Winston Salem adjusted to my unique fitness goals, music taste (Hey, German funk-rap!) , and found just the right way to motivate me on the climb to Rainier. Kellen provides excellent coaching, encouragement, and some tough-love when you need it the most. I never had to fight for equipment, I could openly ask questions, and had someone to walk with me step-by-step through my fitness journey for glacier travel. Three kids and one thyroid issue later, I never thought I would be able to lose weight. Kellen assured me that he would help me get in shape even though I suffer from a thyroid issue which doctors told me would stop me from losing any weight, especially at my age. With the help of Kellen and a healthy diet, I have officially lost 3 inches around my tummy, 3 inches around my hips, and 2.25 inches around my arms....not to mention the workouts are getting easier and I feel better all around. I highly recommend anyone wanting to invest in their health to see Kellen at Just You Fitness. I have always hated exercising. Hate it! Could anything be more boring? However, nearing 60 and wanting to be an active and healthy Nana to my three grandbabies motivated me to seek help. What a Godsend Kellen was! His positive outlook, encouraging words and precise plan to attack my weak areas was just what I needed to get started on the "new me". With my goals in mind he set up a specific nutrional and exercise plan that was simple to follow. It wasn't easy, but it was doable - and what in life that has value easy anyways? Kellen is the best. Not only is he helping me to get in shape during our workouts, but he's also teaching me how to do it when I'm not with him too. His workouts involve weight training and HIIT, among other methods. I've lost 10+ pounds, toned my body quite a bit, and become far more confident at the gym. The only reason why I haven't lost more thus far is because of my diet. However, Kellen is accommodating and we've been working on improving it little by little so as to change my lifestyle rather than dropping everything unhealthy right away (that isn't sustainable for me). He keeps track of my macros and gives very helpful food advice. Kellen has helped me learn what I need to succeed to not just lose weight, but keep the weight off and change my lifestyle. As a law student, my free time is slim to none, and Kellen always makes sure to work around my schedule. The gym is private, which was something that really drew me to it. I didn't have to worry about "looking silly" or competing for equipment with other people. On a personal note, Kellen is a wonderful human being. He is funny, remembers the little things about you, and is tough enough where you feel like you're getting something constructive from your time together. I can't recommend him enough. When you first start working with a new trainer, you never know if there will be a real connection. I can honestly say, Kellen has become not only my trainer, who I totally respect, but he is also my friend. He has helped me get some great results, as of today, I'm down 40 pounds. I've gone from 32% body fat to 19%. I feel great and I'm in my smallest clothes. But it's not just weight loss, in my workouts, Kellen has helped me get stronger and healthier. Kellen is an awesome trainer that is positive, encouraging, and provides with you absolutely everything to reach your goals! Kellen helped me drop my body fat % in a quick amount of time. His sessions are quick but HIGHLY effective. I enjoyed being able to spend 30 min in his gym yet leaving feeling like I had pushed myself harder than ever in such a short amount of time! Kellen provided me with recipes, grocery list ideas, nutritional counseling (via myfitnesspal and his training app) and much more! Kellens has been my trainer for 3 weeks. I have lost 11 lbs so far. What truly sets him apart is that he has been through the struggle and he understands. He keeps it real but still gives you the nudge to keep going. He gives feedback on what you eat which I find helpful. it's so confusing to keep up with how many carbs, proteis, and fats you need. If you’re looking to lose some weight, put on muscle, or become a tougher stronger human being, Just You Fitness is an absolutely amazing way to do it. Coach Lake is training me for Special forces selection, and after one month of his program I’m doing very well in terms of strength, speed, and overall muscle endurance. I knew Lake before I started his program, and I knew it would help me get closer to my goal, but I must say I was super excited and pleasantly surprised to see everything I was struggling with become easier after following his instructions and putting in some hard work. I’ve been working out with Kellen Lake of Just You Fitness for about 7 months now, and I am hooked. I was hesitant at first because I was badly out of shape and wasn’t sure if I had the energy to handle tough workouts. Kellen pushed me just enough to get me over the hump, and I feel stronger and stronger each month and definitely have a higher energy level. So I went to Just for you fitness because of the reviews and I am glad I did. Kellen is extremely knowledgeable and genuine. He makes you feel comfortable. Just You Fitness has been an incredible experience! Coach Lake is more than just your typical trainer, he goes above and beyond. He is more than just a presence in the gym, he takes the time to send out daily words of encouragement. I look forward to reading his emails each morning, it keeps me motivated and on track. I cannot sing his praises enough. If you are looking for more than just a diet and some exercise, if you are looking for someone to help you with a lifestyle change, he is your man. When I came to Kellen, I was relatively active, coaching soccer twice a year for a local rec team. I'm 41 and had played soccer in college. Since then I had gained 30 pounds and had slowed down. I'm not as quick. I've been on heart medication for more than a decade. Exercise is an annual charge from my doctor, but I don't like running. I don't like doing sit ups. I had joined a few different gyms in the past, but I didn't take advantage of them. The reason I love working with Kellen is twofold. What is so valuable to me is the efficiency and the accountability. I don't have alot of time. Exercise is normally the first thing I don't do when life gets busy. In thirty minutes my whole body is worked and exhausted. I haven't run... at all, but I know that I've gone through an intense cardio workout. I haven't done one sit up, but my core was so sore that first week. I had forgotten about all those muscles around my ribs and gut. Kellen works muscles in ways I have never imagined. In thirty minutes my mind is at rest knowing that one of the biggest parts of my life has been checked off my list. More...

After contemplating a few different ways to "get back in shape", I realized I needed guidance and structure. Home DVD's and home gyms are great, but there was nobody to really motivate and measure my progress. I started working out with Kellen just a few weeks ago. He is extremely knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition, and in just 3 weeks, I've lost 5 lbs, and improved my muscle tone and flexibility. Most importantly, my energy level has increased significantly. He keeps me accountable to my exercise regimen, which I really need. His infusion of humor during the workouts is greatly appreciated, especially knowing what challenges I'm going through! I'm hoping to be in beach body shape by spring break! More...

I have been working out with Fitness by The Lake now for about 6 weeks. I have gained tons of muscle! I have dropped 2 clothing sizes! I feel stronger and healthier than I ever have! I will keep working with Kellan until I hit my fitness and health goals, and maybe even after!
