Love love love every single picture Tonya captured! We were traveling from out of town to spend a week in Cape Coral for Thanksgiving. We wanted some fun family pictures on the beach and she delivered. Where do I even begin, from our first meet and greet to our engagement session at lata and my bridals in sumter to our wedding day Tonya and her crew were simply perfect. I couldn't have asked for an easier person to work with! She is so quick to respond to emails/texts and will do anything to make your experience perfect! She is extremely patient, understands what is really required, and finds innovative ways to get the best out of these sessions just so that they don't appear redundant from the previous ones. JT Photography was awesome to work with. The quality of their work was outstanding, I would have expected to pay a lot more then their affordable prices. I used them for my engagement session, and my wedding day pictures and both were excellent. For my wedding, I had close to 900 pictures, and they were all beautiful. I also received a slide show of all of my pictures , which was really nice to have since we opted against having a videographer. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I think you have to feel it. I mean - the lighting, the camera settings, the lens you choose all matter for sure - but I think you have to focus on each family/couple/client, how they interact and capture what is special about them. We are all unique and I love bringing out the best in people.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Tell me about yourself, your family, if you're getting married I want to know about who you are as a couple - what do you want to accomplish most from your session?
What do you love most about your job?
So many things! I absolutely love meeting new people, I love learning about their families, watching them interact and capturing their connections with each other, and ultimately, how happy they are when they see their final images!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I shot my first wedding in 2005 and I knew then I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. I shot weddings full time from 2008 to 2017 - then moved to SWFL - where I now focus on family sessions, maternity, proposals, intimate beach weddings and business head-shots.
Why should our clients choose you?
I believe we should be a good fit, first & foremost. If you are looking for a relaxed, fun session with a good mix of traditional and candid photos, I'm your girl!
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I will be happy to wear a mask if someone asks me to - but I do keep my distance and I'm not currently offering any tangible items. The client gallery will be emailed to them, where they can view their photos online, and download them there as well.
