I hold a BS in Exercise Science from Bridgewater State University where I also minored in Nutrition and Biology as well as completing the pre-physical therapy track. I have earned a CPT through the American College of Sports Medicine and is also First Aid & CPR/AED certified through the American Heart Association.

I started working with Josh in early 2019. The year before I began learning how to scull (in my mid-30s), and it became obvious to me that if I wanted to be better, I needed to be stronger. Josh developed a comprehensive program targeted to making me a better rower from outside the boat: stretches to increase my mobility, strength training, and conditioning. The time he spent teaching the little things, from proper form on a lift, to the science behind training your nervous system, has shown measurable improvement when I'm in the boat this year.

Whether you are training for a specific purpose, or for general health and well-being, Josh will be your person.

Josh Fox has been my personal trainer for over 2 years. I recommend him highly for his excellence.

Over the years I had worked with several trainers and was never quite fully satisfied with the training or the results I achieved. I was amazed by how smart and knowledgeable Josh is.

Josh did a baseline check-in with me before we started and asked me what I wanted to accomplish. I told him I wanted to get stronger and that is exactly what we worked on. I came with back issues, knee issues, and shoulder issues. He was able to work with me safely so that none of these problem areas were aggravated. He was always mindful of what was going on with my body. Always asking me before each workout what was hurting. I really appreciate his mindful approach and individual attention to my personal issues, always keeping my goals in view.

The progress I made was amazing. I achieved increased strength, visible toning and muscle definition, and over 20lb weight loss. Josh took me places physically that other trainers did not and he gave me great confidence in my abilities. I still learn something new from him every time I see him. His wealth of knowledge is impressive.

I will continue to work with Josh for the foreseeable future. You will be amazed where he can take you!

I’ve been training with Josh for almost 2 years now. One of the most down to earth trainers who is experienced, knowledgeable and so much fun. Always look forward to the sessions as he is always prepared and has a plan that is aligned with my fitness goals. He ensures I have proper form and safety in mind to avoid any injuries.

I would highly recommend Josh to anyone looking to improve their fitness.

Josh is a fantastic trainer! I started working with him when I was still recovering from a lower back injury. He helped me recover my strength and mobility and I could not be more grateful for everything he has taught me. He is extremely knowledgeable about how muscles interact and how different exercises help overcome weaknesses and explains everything, so I’ve learned not just proper form but how different exercises help. He’s a great teacher. He pushes me to go farther than I think I can offers encouragement and support and has also kept me on track during the stay at home order by coming up with body weight based programs that can be completed with minimal equipment. Working with Josh has both improved my health and fitness as well as my confidence. I feel like a learn something new each session and always leave feeling like I’ve gotten a great workout. Josh is an awesome trainer and I have benefited so much from working with him. Throughout the pandemic he’s worked to help me keep most of my muscle mass at while working from home (I’ve honestly gained some muscle as well) now we’re working on getting my strength back. Not only has he helped physically but mentally. He gives perfect rationale for everything he makes you do that’s understandable for the layperson and I feel like I understand this stuff so much better now after working with him. Whether you're looking for in-person sessions, virtual sessions, fitness programming, or nutritional guidance, I can accommodate. You can come to me and train at my private home gym. I can travel to you and train you in the comfort of you own home (or outside of it). Or we can meet virtually via Zoom, FaceTime, Hangouts, or whichever video platform you prefer. I also utilize various software such as Truecoach for delivering top of the line programming, nutrition plans, and much more.

I'm a firm believer in taking a "holistic" or whole body approach to health and fitness. I take into consideration your physical, emotional, social, and mental wellbeing. If you need something that is outside of my scope of practice, I refer to the proper professional be it a medical doctor, dietician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc. I will also gladly coordinate with any other health professional you may be currently working with in order to ensure continuity of care and achieve optimal results.

I absolutely love how many amazing people I get to meet on a daily basis from every walk of life who all share their own experiences with me. I'm able to help people achieve incredible feats and live longer, healthier lives. This has a clear, definite, and lasting impact on every aspect of theirs personal and professional lives.

Freedom and independence are definitely big for me. It's allowed me to have a much healthier work/life balance so my family life doesn't suffer as is so often the case for trainers when working for a club.

I also like the challenge that comes with entrepreneurship. I come from a family of go-getter entrepreneurs so I guess it runs in my blood. I would also have to say that I'm able to reach a much wider range of clientele given that my business requires me to travel to clients, meet virtually, and of course at my home gym.
