What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The real key to any photograph is lighting. The light of an image tells the mood that the viewer should be feeling. If you wanted something more mysterious and ominous, throw down the lighting and turn up the contrast. If you want something more warm and homey, turn up the lighting and increase the warmth of the image. Utilizing light is key to telling the story.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I want to know what your vision is. I will usually ask first what kind of editing style they were looking for. Once we determine style we can lock down location and time.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the feeling of making people smile with my work. At times these photos will stick with people for the rest of their lives. I want to make images that make people feel happy, beautiful, and confident. I don't do a lot of photoshop work in my images because I believe in the beauty of an individual. The things that make them special.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I grew up thinking I wasn't creative. It wasn't until I bought my first camera from a pawn shop in college that I started realizing that creativity is in all of us. It lies dormant with the lies we have been told about ourselves. My inspiration lies with showing people that truth. To show them that they are innately creative, and that it should be shared with the world.
Why should our clients choose you?
I take a more personal approach to my work. I find out what you want and make it come to life. Because I am a one man shop I don't have the overhead to push clients in and out of my doors. I will take time to make sure we are getting what you dreamed.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I can provide my editing services remotely. If you have images you need to be edited, I can upload them and turn them into the style you were looking for. I can also add graphic elements for branding and social media.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
If requested I will wear a mask and respect any social distancing standards the client requests.
Golden Hour Time Slot
This is a 1.5 hour time slot at either the morning golden hour or the afternoon. We will be able to go to as many locations as possible and you can switch as many outfits as you would like! This is your time and I want to make sure you will be able to get quality images. I will work with you for various poses and props, but I recommend bringing something more personal that can be used!
Engagements (Shoosh...)
I will work with you to provide high quality images of your engagement. The benefits of this is that your future spouse won't know who I am so I can easily be sneaky and get candid's of the moment you propose, as well as after shots of you two celebrating! I can additionally capture photos of the after party if that is something you would like to add on to the package.
Weddings
I will capture the biggest day of your life. I will arrive in the morning to capture guests entering, the venue, the bridal parties, the ceremony, and the reception. I can use both flash and non flash cameras to capture different styles. I also have a quicker turnaround time on weddings than most photographers. I will be able to get your photos to you within two weeks after the big day and have up to 3 revisions on my editing. I work with the couple to make sure you are getting what your dreamed of.
Editing
I will custom edit your photos to make a desired look and style for anything from branding, to just general images on your iphone. I do retouching and photoshop as well so if there is any photobombers, I can take them out!
