I've used Jose de la Cruz three times for my home in Alexandria, VA. I use to get six quotes for every job I would have done (tree removal, deck replacement, grass installation, and other yard work) and Jose always had the most competitive/fair price. Jose and team did a fantastic job with our backyard. He was very responsive and came quickly to provide a quote. They replaced a retaining wall that stretched across our whole backyard, replaced drainage pipes with PVC, put in french drains, and regraded our backyard. The difference is incredible! I will post pictures later once the grass grows. He was a pleasure to work with and his team was very efficient. They even finished two days earlier than expected!!!! We did a lot of research and interviewed almost 10 landscaping companies for a major front yard transformation and some work in the backyard. Â Jose brought a lot of ideas to our rough plan and we thought his estimate was reasonable and unlike many companies, moved scheduling mountains to start work on our project within weeks of us agreeing to terms. Â His team is really professional, friendly, timely, and their attention to detail was particularly appreciated since I can be a bit of a stickler for the small things. Â I ended up adding a bunch of extra work I needed because of my confidence in Jose after seeing him and his team start their work. Â They ended up replacing old drainage pipes in my yard with PVC, staining the back deck, and even fixed a crack in the foundation that was causing a leak in the basement. This project grew and the end result is really great. Â Jose has promised to check in and make sure the new plants and trees take hold which is a relief in light of how incredibly expensive landscaping can be... Â So total project included the creation of a two-tier stone retaining wall in the front, new stone walkway in both the front and back, new bushes/plants/trees in both front and back, new underground pvc drainage pipes from all downspouts, new sod in both front and back, small retaining wall and site preparation for a future under deck shed, basement crack repair from the exterior, and three coats of stain on the deck. I'm sorry to say that they have terrible customer service. They don't show up to work as promised. They also fail to let you know they will not be able to make the appointment. I do not recommend this company for landscaping. More...
