So glad we found Johnny! He played for mine and my husband's wedding ceremony and it was everything I hoped for and more. He learned 3 songs for our night and my guest couldn’t stop talking about his rendition of, I Want to Hold Your Hand by The Beatles and the song from the little mermaid . He was very professional and even gave me a list of love songs he could play for the prelude. Our wedding ended up starting at least 20 min late but he has such an extensive list of songs, there wasn’t a slightest hiccup. He made it easy, which was everything while planning a wedding. What do you love most about your job?
The pure expression of nostalgia. The dynamic between the performer and the audience is often an exercise of reminding the audience just how much they love this artist or that song. Attached to that exchange is that in return, members of the audience will often make song requests that remind me how much I love adapting new songs. It is in this beautiful exchange that I find joy and fullfillment in my work.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Working as a musician on cruise ships started to feel like a job. Though I am gratful for the the opportunity and the incredible experiences on ships, it remains the catylist for my decision to form Johnn Rockett Music LLC. I wanted more autonomy in my working life.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have 10 years experience and over 1,200 shows in 8 markets as a guitar vocalist. I honed my craft while working dozens of contracts with Carnival Cruise Line. The diverse clintele on cruise ships provided invaluable growth opportunities to broaden my appeal and accommodate song requests from several genres and decades.

I do not provide online services at this time. So far, I do not have the time, necessary equipment or interests to accommodate this service option.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I am fully vaccinated including booster shots. Secondly, I have since limited my exposure in my personal life to smaller gatherings and less public outings.

Set list provided to best suit the specific needs of the client and their event.
Full PA provided. All necessary sound equipment is included.
A tent for outdoor events is also included for events within driving distance of Charlotte, NC.
