We absolutely loved working with Joanie and Joanie Clay Photography for our wedding.

When we were looking for photographers we wanted to find someone who could capture the natural beauty of a moment. When we first met with Joanie we instantly clicked and the work she showed us was beautiful. Her use of natural light was one of the biggest draws when we decided to go with her as a photographer.

Working with Joanie was a pleasure the entire time. We did our engagement photographs in Piedmont Park and not only did she make us feel comfortable in a scenario we aren't used to, but she produced the most beautiful engagement photographs that we loved. Even my now husband, who really did not want to do an engagement shoot in the first place, said how much he enjoyed the shoot and was glad that we did it.

Prior to the wedding based on our wishes Joanie put together a schedule for photographs which was so helpful. It put a framework for us as to when we would be doing what. We did a first look and photos of the family and wedding party before the ceremony and then a few after the ceremony. It was very timely and you can tell she knows exactly what she is doing! It was great because we got the wedding photos we loved but were also able to enjoy the rest of our wedding!

I cannot express the professionalism and great work that she does. She is very responsive via both phone and e-mail and is always there if you have questions or concerns. On the day of our wedding she arrived early at the venue to look around and scout the location. She captured all the moments that we requested and more. All of our guests who have seen the photographs have commented on how beautifully done they are.

We received our photos and album in the mail in a timely matter and we love them all.

We would highly recommend Joanie Clay Photography to anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer. We look forward to hopefully using Joanie in the future for other big events!

I first worked with Joaine when my son was just days old and she produced beautiful photos (which is not easy with a fussy newborn and new parents). Joanie has captured priceless moments of my family a couple times and she is not only amazingly talented but is so very patient with my young kids and just goes with the flow. Taking our family pictures at a water park lodge seemed pretty daunting to me but Joanie handled it better than I thought it could be handled. It was loud, crowded and pretty chaotic, now add an 8 year old and a cranky 2 year old. Somehow she stayed patient, made us laugh and gave us some great family memories. We have trusted Joanie with two of the most memorable events in our lives, our wedding and our newborn's first portraits. Our wedding was seven years ago and since then I have envisioned the day that Joanie would be able to photograph our baby . Seven years later, it finally happened. Joanie worked with us to schedule the session within 2 weeks of her birth so that the photos captured the sweet newborn sleepy faces and her tiny features that have already changed at 7 weeks old. Joanie drove from Lagrange to Northeast Atlanta to our home so that we did not have to leave the house with a newborn. Joanie brought equipment and props and completely transformed our nursery into a professional studio. She worked with me to incorporate my ideas into the photo session by using my wedding dress and a crocheted bonnet and diaper cover. She was so loving and gentle with our little one. Joanie even brought a warmer to keep her cozy and comfy. I was amazed at how she was able to get our baby to pose so many different ways. It was so hard to wait for the pictures to be edited but it was worth the wait. They are amazing! Absolutely beautiful! What a special memory that is forever captured in photography. Joanie Clay Photography offers extremely reasonable prices with exceptional quality. I highly recommend Joanie. We first worked with her five years ago when she did our engagement and wedding photography. I was very pleased with the work that she did. In addition to a gorgeous wedding album, we blew up several of her shots into 16 x 20 canvases to display around our home. When we welcomed our son three years ago, Joanie did our newborn photography and again did an outstanding job. We just welcomed another son and invited her to the hospital to photograph his first day. I just saw the photographs and they are perfect. We had a studio newborn session with her today and I cannot wait to see how they turn out. Joanie is very patient when working with newborns and is able to capture the most adorable shots.
