We had our engagement pictures taken by Jim Kloss Photography and the whole affair was alot of fun. First Jim was very accommodating, he made a journey to meet us at our desired spot. He also has a talent for capturing raw moments. When getting pictures taken I tend to try and pose, but Jim would tell a joke or try to engage us and then would snap some in the moment pictures. I had never thought I'd be any sort of model or even be able to take the pictures Jim took of me. Jim has an amazing ability to make you feel comfortable, like you've always known him. He is amazing at coming up with poses and had awesome ideas for our shoot! He always let me know what I needed to change and always told me when I looked good and showed me the progress of the pictures. Jim was so professional and captured my daughter's spirit in her senior portraits! He even surprised her by setting different poses and getting the perfect shots. He was open to my daughter's suggestions which was really appreciated because she wanted two shots of her silliness and school spirit. “Ok so let me start off by saying I'm a complete skeptic. In my industry I've been photographed numerous times so I am kinda "over it" I was pleasantly surprised to find that Jim is an inventive photographer who was able to capture me in photos just the way I was hoping but was unsure how to say. He has a knack for working with people and animals and this allows him to deliver a product that is of exceptional quality and will always please. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better photographer. I have worked alongside Jim as the MUA on numerous shoots of ours. His photography skills and attention to detail is one of a kind! ! His communication with the models is professional, direct, yet FUN! As a makeup artist my biggest worry is the makeup being edited or retouched TOO much. These concerns were never an issue with Jim! He keeps models and your every day client looking natural and true to themselves which I Love and appreciate! When approached with an idea from a client, Jim takes the time to do a full research of wardrobe, make-up, and props that go with that particular genre.
