These people don't give a crap about the reviews or the customers. They are repeat offenders. And their sugary response to the subject at hand in regards to the servings or the disgusting food is sickening. No offer of a refund, just offering you to spend your money on more of their garbage. "Try this then" ppl pay high price for crap More...

Being Jamaican and being new to San Antonio, I was desperately searching for home cooked food and didn't feel like cooking myself this time around. Sadly there is only about two to three Jamaican restaurants in San Antonio, much different from where I was previously. Found Jamaica Jamaica online and had my husband pick up some curry chicken with rice and peas and plantains. Was disappointed upon the first bite. First, the curry chicken is SUPER salty and the gravy is minimal and chunky . Frankly disgusting. The rice and peas were bland, somewhat hard , and looks like whoever made the food in general tried too hard to throw black pepper in it to make it "look seasoned" when it's still nasty. Then , there was NO plantain in my plate nor my husbands. When we called the store, the person we spoke to claimed to be the owner and claimed they looked at a video and plantains were placed . But literally there were NONE in our plates - why would we lie about a few pieces of ripe banana? Then she rudely simply stated if we weren't happy we don't have to come back and the conversation ended. This place is a disgrace to Jamaican cuisine . And I had something as simple as curry chicken- imagine if we asked for jerk chicken or oxtail. Maybe they have the local population fooled but literally would never recommend this place to anyone else with my last breath. More...

I hate to leave a bad restaurant review especially for a small business but this was probably the worst Jamaican food I've ever had. The curry goat wasn't tender at all it was extremely tough, like my gums are bleeding tough. The rice and peas were dry. The jerk chicken was slightly better but as their signature item it also was a let down. Please don't waste your money on the "rum punch" it's Kool Aid. The prices are definitely not in line with the quality of food. After eating a portion of our meals I think everyone felt cheated. They are charging $15-$17 for really poor quality food. I normally never complain about pricing because if it's good it's good. This place just isn't good. If you think this will satisfy your craving please please look else where or literally just make something yourself. I know that some reviews were answered and said everyone's taste is different but this isn't an issue of personal preference this is poor quality and not authentic. More...

My life is back!!! After 2 years of marriage, my husband left for another woman , I felt like my life was about to end i almost committed suicide, i was emotionally down for a very long time. Thanks to a spell caster called Dr. Oluwabama whom i met online as I was browsing through the internet. I came across a lot of testimonies about this spell caster. Some people testified that he brought their Ex lover back, some testified that he restores womb, help with court cases, and other sickness, and also cast spell to win lottery and win bet, some testified that he can cast a spell to stop divorce and so on. I also came across one particular testimony, it was about a woman called Sonia, she testified about how he brought back her Ex lover in less than 3 days, and at the end of her testimony she dropped Dr. Oluwabama contact address. After reading all these, I decided to give it a try. I contacted him and explained my problem to him and i followed his instructions. In just 3 days my husband came back to me. We solved our issues, and we are even happier than before. Dr. Oluwabama is really a gifted man and i will not stop publishing him because he is a wonderful man... Don't sleep on this place. They're in a non-descript strip mall on Austin Highway and their storefront doesn't stick out. What does stick out is the amazing food . It's unlike anything else you'll find in SA. I strongly recommend the jerk chicken plate. It comes with plantains and rice. It's a heck of a meal and it's reasonably priced. The ppl making the reviews must be family or friends, and Non-Jamaicans because buying food from this place was PURE ROBBERY!  This food was absolutely horrible, and expensive for no reason at all. Brown stew snapper which was super small for $25 with little bit of rice, microwaved beef and veggie patty for $5 each. Oxtail was horrible, again with a little bit of rice $19, cabbage was nothing but SALT all for $50 plus tax not including any drinks. We were told they had salt fish fritters but after we paid found out there were none and had to suffice for the soggy patties. These ppl have the NERVE to have a sign on their door No Refunds or Exchange! Why not All their food needs to be refundable. No lie... my dogs loved the food; however, I was extremely disappointed and clearly wanted my money back. Jamaica Jamaica needs to go out of business ASAP! This restaurant gives Jamaican food a bad name. If I could give them no stars, I would. Jamaica Jamaica needs to give up the food industry and stick to entertainment... More...

This is the worst Jamaican restaurant I ever experience in the US.  If I could only put zero stars...  The food was very expensive and the portions were very little. 25 dollars for a Snapper that look like a sprat , 19 dollars for pieces of bones they say is oxtail, little bit of rice and some extra salty cabbage.  I ordered 2 servings of fritters $6.95 each  after swiping my card and waiting for the meal they told us no fritters they offer 2 patties instead because there is a no refund sign. We spend almost 60 dollars for some garbage that we end up giving to the Dogs.   This place is a disgrace to the Jamaica cuisine , they need to take a Jamaican cooking class.  Seems like they want to make so much profit on one meal.                Don't Do it! Got the curried goat, jerk chicken, red bean rice, plantains, coco bread, steamed cabbage, peach ice tea. The service was quick and kind. The food was decent quality and tasty . My biggest problem with the food was the saltiness. The Jamaican food I've had in the past really centered its flavors on the immense goodness of Jamaican spice blends and textures that you can really enjoy. I liked the food and would try it again because a lot of places are off their a game during this time of crisis. I'm also appreciative that this place exists because Jamaican cuisine is really amazing. Also- definitely get the coco bread if you're into fluffy, smooshy goodness. And the rice was really comforting as well. More...

As a Jamaican living in the US, I must admit that Jamaica Jamaica was always my go-to. This past weekend I had invited some friends to eat some Jamaican food. I made sure to call earlier in the week to let them know that a group of maybe 12 were coming. Once we got there, we were ignored by whatever staff was there. The service was so, so, so bad I should have walked out. There was only one server...Excuses after excuses. Waited for almost 1 hour for food (that was half cooked) and 2 hours for a drink!! I was so embarrassed in front of my friends. Jamaicans are known for their hospitality. This place has NO atmosphere and ZERO hospitality. When the restaurant was smaller and located across the street from the current location. The service was so much better, even if they had only one server. I am not against growing a business but make sure that your customers are given good service by being able to afford the cost of hiring enough wait staff! I won't be back...I am so embarrassed and disappointed. More...

Came in this evening with my coworkers expecting to have a great evening ,we had planned ahead and even let the owners know, that we were coming as a group of twelve, (we ended up being eight ) the two of us that arrived first sat at the bar at first waiting on the rest of the group to arrive, but got totally ignored, so we moved to a table, we finally had a waitress come over, took our order, food came out timely, but my stovetop jerk was a small plate (which I had not asked for small) and my coworkers salmon was undercooked which she had to send back, about half hour after it arrived at the table, all this time goes by, and as the others arrived, no one came to take their order for a VERY LONG TIME, we got our own water, our own silverware. It was a disaster. Sad to see how what should of been a great evening turned out to be a total flop. ( Still waiting on my rum punch ) took almost two hours to arrive!! I hope they hire more staff otherwise I don't see how this place could thrive. Four of my coworkers had never been here before, and most definitely will not be back. Owner gave us excuse after excuse, instead of just a heartfelt apology. He offered to comp the first two of us that arrived meals, but not the whole group, it was just a horrible service experience. Some places over or under do it with jerk seasoning but they get it right every time. I've had nearly everything on the menu and I have no complaints. Just remember it is somewhat of tradition for Jamaican restaurants to run out of things at certain times if they are good and this place is really good. The past two occasions I have tried to call in an order, workers would ignore the phone leaving me to call 5-7 times. This time, when they finally picked up the phone, they asked me to hold for 5 minutes and left the phone on the counter for 30 minutes! !! I hung up and tried to call back and the phone was left off the hook for over an hour. This is absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable and I would hate for this practice to continue. GREAT food, terrible customer service. Hire better employees, this is why this wonderful place is running into the ground!!!Update: we visited the restaurant and were treated EXTREMELY disrespectfully by a boy working there named Carlos. He is probably the server that several people comment about saying he left them waiting for long periods of time. When we walked in he was standing in the back corridor for 10 minutes on his phone. He left the phone on the counter which I saw upon walking in. Turns out he left it there, not hung up the entire time so no one could call. He said he has been “busy” . There were only 4 other customers in the building. We asked for the owners contact information and he refused to give it to us saying we would get him in trouble. He told us to order what we wanted and pay in full (we asked for a discount for how much time was wasted and for how poor his conduct was to which he refused.) and we could speak to Anthony (the owner) when he was in and ask for a refund then.
