The family that tattoos together is a lot of fun- my daughters and I spent our 2nd to last day on Kauai getting matching tattoos, my oldest daughter's artwork. Matt was VERY accommodating and made sure that the sizes fit the chosen space and was meticulous in his sanitary set up. The lines are very clean and he was clear about making sure to stay out of the water in Kauai during our healing process. If you are getting a holiday tattoo- Ironbridge is a great stop and plan it for your final day so you don't have to miss a day in the ocean. One other thing that was FABULOUS was the music! In the past, the tattoo shops I've been too were dark with heavy metal or thrasher type music- I appreciated the classics of Nina Simone and Ray Charles playing while we branded our bodies. The boys at Ironbridge are incredible. Kobi does amazing Japanese-style and black & grey tattoos, Evan does the most beautiful realism, and Matt has a unique style and color palette that's iconic and all his own. If you give these guys a concept or prompt they will use their creativity and work with you to make something that exceeds your expectations, no matter how big or small the project is. In addition to their powerhouse of talent, they are the coolest dudes! They are both professional and lots of fun, giving you a comfortable and clean experience while offering great conversation and a constant laughs. My husband and I wanted to commemorate our 25 yr anniversary visit to Kauai by getting tats having matching islands but our own added style. He chose the shaka while I chose a turtle with plumerias. I got Kobi and my husband got Matt. We only talked about 10 minutes to each on what we were looking for and sent 1 turtle example. First and foremost I want to thank that guys at Ironbridge Tattoo. They fit us in a couple days before we were leaving the island which me and my wife greatly appreciate. The prices for the tattoos were very reasonable and the work done was great. I am not super into tattoos as this is the third one I have ever had done. It is the best experience I have had out of the other two I have had done. It was very clean, very professional and comfortable. It's very nice on the inside and a lot better than a couple of the other places we checked out first. To me it's important when getting poked with a needle that a place is well kept. I have been to shops before that were kinda sketchy. This one was laid back and deserves the 5 stars for sure. Matt was the one who did my tattoo and overall I had a great experience. Five-star experience all around. On my last day on Kauai I decided to get a souvenir tattoo and Ironbridge had an opening so I went in. The place looks immaculately clean and I love the tattoo art hanging all over the shop. The environment definitely put my mind at ease as a neat-freak/OCD person. Matt greeted me and we discussed on my tattoo idea. For placement, I also decided to cover a small tattoo I had done a year ago at another shop. He got something put together right away and got to work. When I finally saw the finished product I was amazed. The tattoo came out way more awesome than I could have imagined! I recommend checking out Matt's (and his colleague's!) work online or in the portfolio at the shop to get a better idea of their styles. Based on Matt's work I knew whatever he created would come out beautifully and it did. I already have received many compliments on my tattoo and I only got it done three days ago. My sweetie and I did some research while visiting Kauai, because we wanted to get a tattoo to commemorate our honeymoon and first time in Hawaii, let alone on Kauai. We loved the artwork we saw posted on their website more than any others we checked, so we called and came in for a consultation. Kobi did a great/amazing job! My husband and I got a tattoo Wednesday before we left Kauai. We got there as soon as they opened and he was able to get us in right away. My husband got a turtle tattoo with my initials and I got the hibiscus flower. We gave him an idea, showed him pictures and he drew out something even better than what we showed him. That was my husband second tattoo and my first tattoo ever. I will say, he made sure I was comfortable, doing ok and asked if I needed a break to let him know. He did such an amazing job! AMAZING WORK! Matt did an extremely good job at taking my concepts and creating a masterpiece! I get COMPLIMENTS ALL THE TIME on my tattoo! He's very good  at giving clean lines and mixing colors for the right tone.Both Matt and Kobi are wonderful tattoo artists, you can't go wrong going to this shop.. In fact, do yourself a favor and make an appointment!! The shop is clean, bright, and has a sweet view of sleeping giant.My tattoo healed insanely quick, with only one day of peeling and it never itched! Actually walked in another tattoo shop and they sent me to IRONBRIDGE! So what does that tell you?! Kobi and Matt are great artists , they can do any style you ask and will work with you to customize the perfect piece from a little banger to a full sleeve. Kobi was so welcoming and seemed eager to tattoo. No matter the size of the piece he was ready to get it done. Look at their website , amazing artist from traditional Americana to Beautiful Japanese tattoos. I am in love with my little Hawaiian skull that Kobi did on me. it blends perfectly in with my other work on my sleeve. Thanks for a great experience. Everything about this shop, from the decor to the guys that run it, is absolutely outstanding. Kobi and Matt are some of the most wonderful people around and will make you feel right at home in their shop - whether you're a tattoo virgin or are working on your twentieth piece. Big or small, these guys know their shit and won't let you walk out of there less than 100% satisfied. Also, their tattoo chairs, holy shit they're great. Never been tattooed in something so comfy (seriously, my butt didn't fall asleep once). And finally, my man Kobi can SLAY a full sleeve. I literally have people stop me on the street at least 3x a day to ask me about my work. If you're considering this shop, I highly recommend you get in there asap and talk to these guys about your next and best piece. More...
